Luxury cars to go under the hammer in London

Wed, 12 Aug 2009
Motorists who enjoy buying at auction may want to attend an upcoming sale in Battersea Park.

RM Auctions will be holding its annual Automobiles of London event there on October 28th.

Among the vehicles going under the hammer will be a 1950 DB2 team car by Aston Martin and a 1914 Silver Ghost Boattail Skiff from Rolls-Royce.

Organisers of the sale claimed the two models were particularly well suited to the event.

Managing director at RM Auctions Max Girardo commented: "Both Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce are quintessentially English, making these cars perfect for our London sale."

People can get a sneak preview of the two vehicles on October 27th, when the people behind the event will be holding a full-day preview.

Other autos that will be on offer to the highest bidder include a 1932 Lancia Astura Limousine and a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Zagato.

It was previously announced that a number of custom cars from UK designer Andy Saunders would also be going under the hammer at the auction.
