Ford 'at forefront of DAB technology'

Thu, 18 Jun 2009
People looking at buying a car that can offer the latest in audio technology may want to visit their local Ford dealership.

The manufacturer has suggested it is something of an innovator when it comes to entertainment systems.

It pointed to the fact the Focus and C-MAX Titanium models both now offer digital audio broadcasting (DAB) radios.

As a result, owners of such cars can enjoy a wide range of stations without having to put up with interference, the company claimed.

The firm also highlighted the fact vehicles like the Mondeo, Kuga, Galaxy and S-MAX have benefitted from such devices for about a year.

Product marketing manager Paul Singleton stated: "Ford has been the leader in making DAB radio available in cars – and it has become a popular feature."

In related motoring news, the S-MAX has just been awarded a security honour for being the most well protected large MPV available to UK vehicle buyers.
