Published 21 October 2013

Classic and modern cars will be starring at the free-to-view Regent Street Motor Show on Saturday 2 November. As well of the London-Brighton starrung veteran cars, the Regent Street event will include current and future models from some of the world’s leading manufacturers.

BMW will be displaying the new i3 (below) alongside the 4 Series. Renault will be plugging the zero emission benefits of electric vehicles with its ZOE and Twizy models. It will also be showcasing the all-new Clio and Captur. With the spread of charging posts throughout the city and the bonus of congestion charge free motoring thanks to the lack of any exhaust emissions, London is fast becoming Europe’s EV capital.

Up to 100 veterans, some powered by steam, will be competing for top honours in the EFG International Concours d’Elegance, while Aston Martin and Porsche will also be looking back. Aston Martin will celebrate its centenary with a display of models from its past while Porsche turns the spotlight on the 911, celebrating its 50th birthday this year.

This year Regent Street will be closed to traffic in its entirety, from Piccadilly Circus to Oxford Circus, with manufacturer displays on the famous Wren Crescent.
