ECP only has the one option for fuel when you choose the engine size as '2.0' and that is 'Petrol/LPG'. Why would the clutches need to be different?
I'm thinking of buying a dash cam for my new car and would like some advice on what to go for. Ideally I'd like one that is battery powered rather than running off the cigarette lighter as I don't really want wires dangling down from dashboard or hard wired into the car so I can transfer it easily into another car if needs be.

I think you might struggle to find one with a battery of sufficient endurance.
I have them in two cars (link below to mini DV 0803) and they came with enough cable easily to conceal it behind the trim on the screen pillar and under the front of the headlining....
I have been looking at buying a diesel Nissan Note. I was looking at one today that was 1 year old, and took it for a test drive.
I noticed it was quite a smelly car outside with the engine running. It smelled strongly of diesel exhaust when I was swapping places with the salesman, and back at the garage when the engine was running.... Read more
You might find it was the DPF going through a regeneration cycle, the smell of diesel can be quite strong when that is happening.
Hi,
I doubt either of the 2 main parties will talk about the tax increase on diesel cars before the election; but how long after the election can we expect the first announcement?... Read more
I can't see diesels being eliminated from cities for a very long time. All commercial vehicles, taxis, lorries, vans are diesel powered. I can see a penalty system being brought in for private vehicles, probably as an adjustment to the congestion zone taxation plus I believe older diesels will probably attract a higher penalty ( being more polluting in terms of Nox. So Euro 6 compliant motors will probably be exempt or cheapest.
Then I imagine that there will be tinkering with the company car taxation schemes to make diesel disadvantageous compared to current . As fleet sales of diesels reduce gradually, the ratio of petrol to diesel will change towards petrol/hybrid - this is happening already) Economics of private motoring will do the rest -- no doubt assisted by vehicle tax changes to discourage ownership. The economics of diesel ownership are already shifting adversely unless you are a very high mileage driver where fuel economy gains still outweigh increasingly more expensive exhaust /complication servicing and repairs. Euro 6 will shift the bias towards petrol even further due to the increased purchase cost and increased maintenance costs of these diesels-just around the corner. Personally, I shall hang onto my older 1.9 tdi non DPF until it's time to change as per any car but this is the last diesel I intend to own-unless I buy a van!
Is anybody out there familiar with the option that is available on some Ford vehicles known as 'Park Assist'. I think it might be available on other marques as well and I was wondering how practical it was in real life driving (or parking) situations. The TV advert shows what looks like a Focus manoeuvring itself into a narrow glass walled space with no apparent input from the driver. I was wondering what would happen (or, indeed, what does happen) when the vehicle is in, say, a supermarket car park with 2 adjacent bays empty. Does the system park the car in the middle of the available space, thereby using up both bays, or does it magically select one of the bays? The system is not ridiculously expensive for what it is capable of doing but I wonder how practical it is in the real world of very tight parking spaces. I also realise that my hypothetical supermarket situation is not likely to be in evidence much over the next couple of weeks (if ever). Read more

Evening guys,
I own a 64 plate Mini Cooper SD,
I'm looking for your thoughts on V Power diesel? I've noticed it's around 8p per litre more, is it worth it? If it provides better performance & more MPG then it would be worth it, but it appears there is a bit of an ongoing debate about whether or not it is actually worth it.
Thoughts?
All the best,
Lee. Read more

Hope owners will be fully compensated if this happens. Some of these are classics now worth several thousand pounds. Some people are running them on veggie oil because of cost/pollution benefits. Read more
The best scrappage scheme would be one for scrapping old, inefficient cars and replacing them with new, efficient ones.
One way to do this would be on engine size - it's a bit clumsy but larger engined cars tend to use more fuel than small-engined ones....
