Talking about them today to a client. He reckoned their use is now a legal requirement. Is this so? Or perhaps about to be? Can't find out by a google search. Read more
The interior heater on this car always used to warm up very quickly. For some time now, although the engine temperature gauge shows that the engine heats up very quickly, the heater can take about 15 minutes to get hot enough. There is then plenty of heat.
Therer are no coolant leaks, the engine runs fine and no work has been done on the coolant system.... Read more
Sounds from that you have a water flow problem, could be an airlock or a blocked matrix, unless as I mentioned it has an electric water control valve, I think you will find this on the flow pipe thtough the bulkhead in the engine compartment.

I suspect many of us (myself included - I live on the border of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire and work in central London) commute much further distances that our forbears, and together with the large increase in population in the UK (especially in the South East of England, who often work in London/other large towns/cities and live elsewhere due to the high cost of housing), more of us than ever commute.
What I wonder is how often do the bus routes (especially in large conurbations like London) actually get reviewed for usefulness - presumably be getting users, local residents and workers along routes (or generally) to fill in questionaires, or (at least in London's case) reviewing journey data from Oyster card use. I doubt if the 10 year censuses are of much use, given that people change jobs and home more often than in the past (and can be reliably captured on census data)....

I'm afraid that sounds just too cheap to me and I'd be wondering what they did/changed....
Pretty certain that all W212 models use the latest 7G type gearbox which takes a minimum of 5L of ATF (if you don't empty the torque converter) and 9L if you do a FULL ATF change, plus the filter and sump gasket have to be changed as well - at £150 it sounds like it would just cover parts alone. I wonder if they also used MB STAR or an equivalent that is critical in the process to check the final ATF volume is correct - the 7G box has no dipstick to check the level manually, so without the correct diagnostic you're just guessing the level is correct....

The Porsche 911 Carrera ad - from the US, with the schoolboy going from school on his bike to showroom - brilliant!
I have a 2010 c5 2.0hdi 163 with 75k on it. Goes well but when put under load (accelerating from a junction or overtaking) it will often start misfiring. Not down a cylinder, just erratic. Occasionally this will put the anit pollution warning on. Car has a good service history and the main filters seem ok. Any thoughts? Read more
Easy check:
Blank off ERG system pipe at the air inlet end; not the exhaust end. It's the corregated stainless steel pipe joining the engine air inlet top left. I made an aluminium plate to blank the engine side and a wooden peg and elephant tape to blank the pipe end....
Hello
This morning I stupidly put 6.3 litres of petrol in my 05' car. The tank was just under half a tank. I then realised my mistake and filled up with normal diesel and not, as I see from reading elsewhere on here, with the V Nitro.... Read more
