But in a few years, plug-in hybrid cars and vans will become the norm, and will able to run for considerable distances on electric power alone. Also there will prbably be more pure electric vehicles - so that a large proportion of vehicles running in city streets my be running in 'zero pollution' mode....
This shocking news as Mercedes Benz is a high quality car possibly the best in the range of models in the field. Hello my friend has a renault clio and today he went to start it and nothing happened. The engine wont turn over the lights on the immobiliser got out as they should. There is a noise coming from a little black box in the centre at the back of the engine. This box is loose aswell. Does anyone know what this box is im thinking something to do with the immobilser but i dont know much about renaults. Also would a diagnostics check be able to pin point the exact problem as the car is a 51 plate so trying to see if its worth doing or not. Many thanks Read more
The loose black box is a cover for the engine control unit and is very common for it to detach itself from its fixing.This will not cause the engine to fail to turn over,however I would advise that it be removed at some point..I would be looking at battery and/or terminals and possibly a wiring fault to the starter motor .Again,not uncommon on these Clio models.
