They MIGHT have waited a week and told you about a £1000 drop ....
But it wasn't a £1000 price drop. The OP said in the first post that the e-mail he received said "good news price drop to 8500 from 8599 ". I make that £99....
Does anyone have any experience of tracing and locating electrical connection faults on a CX 25 Diesel Turbo 1987/8 ?
Interior Lights for example don't work - but the Plunger in the Door (which normally operates the internal lights when the door is opened), works OK as it shows a 'Door Open' message on the Dashboard Warning Indicator if the door is not closed properly. Also, the Handbrake Warning Light illuminates on the same Panel if/when the Handbrake is operated.... Read more
That sounds about right and yes it does control the time delay on the light. Mine failed because someone had trapped on of the wires under the steering column support bracked and shorted it to earth.

DAihatsu Fourtrak,,,,but leave it in 2wd unless 4wd is absolutely essential to regain forward progress....go back to 2wd as soon as the ground regains any sort of firmness or grip....really saves wear & tear on the tranny!

Hi all,
I hope someone could advise on the following symptom: in the recent cold weather, when starting the car from cold, it runs normally. However, if I switch on the AC, there is a high pitched squealing sound, which gets louder at higher revs. Switching off the AC eliminates the noise. Also, once I have driven the car and the engine is nice and warm, and I switch on the AC, there is no squealing noise, even at higher revs.... Read more

Renault traffic van not starting
Hi, I am new to here so hopefully in the right place!
I have a 2001 renault trafic van and it refuses to start when it's cold outside. I have had a leak back test done and the results were fine, also had new glow plugs and glow plug relay fitted.
It takes about half an hour plus a bit of easy start to get going and once it's finally started I have to let it run for 10 mins before I get any power.
Seems to be getting harder every morning to start and I'm at a dead end and don't know what to do.

Any data or fault codes available relating to fuel pressure and engine rpm cranking speed?Has the fuel filter been renewed recently?
I have been pleased to see the price of petrol dropping week by week but am worried that it will overshoot by a long way when the present political manoeuvres are resolved. It seems that the US and EU are trying to bring the Russians to the table, and the Saudis are trying to bring the US ‘frackists’ to the table. But, what about we poor motorists ? – they don’t seem to care about us. Read more
Had a nice surprise this afternoon. Locally, petrol is 118.9p, with ASDA 117.7p. However, this week Sainsburys opened a shiney new shed a couple of hundred metres from said ASDA, so ASDA has reduced their price to 115.7p. Long may it last, although I doubt it will!

I'm not familiar with this engine, but it's usually at the other end of the top hose to the radiator. Looks like that's where it is.

May not be any use for your needs but have a look at the Navfree app and a decent sized, well priced tablet.
I have a budget of £3.5-£4.5k and really keen on BMW 520d, 525d or even 530d (after speaking to a friend who convinced me to go for the 530d but a fuel guzzler??).
Any recommendation? What car?... Read more
