CHECKED FLUID AND THATS FINE AND TOPPED UP ALTHOUGH A BIT CLOUDY. CAN A CLUTCH SUDDENLY START SLIPPING IN PUNTOS AS THERE ARE USUALLY TELL TALE SIGNS ON OTHER CARS.

'it has been really reliable and pass mots no problem. and revelative cheap on petrol.'
with that in mind, I would be tempted with another Toyota possibly a corolla, one thing to watch out for is the oil burning issue....
Hi there just recently ive had a loud knocking noise coming from the front of the car only when its in any gear if its in neutral no noise if u rev it no noise even.rolling along road in neutral no noise but as u get faster in any gear knocking noise appears plus when u slow down there is a swirling rumbling noise and no knocking but once u acclerate again the knocking noise is back any ideas if its the gearbox? Ive looked at the driveshafts and cv joints theres no leaks at all no warning lights are on either any help id be greatful for Read more
Trying to diagnose any noise with certainty online is nigh impossible. You've checked the usual suspects yourself and found nothing. I suggest booking it into a garage for a fuller diagnosis.
Without physically driving the car, and checking it out on a ramp, saying what's at fault is pure guesswork I'm afraid.

Now, it's not perfect - nothing can be - but it's what people who use this site have put down as the mpg that they get. Some will be calculating it out, some will be guesstimating, but the idea is that it all evens out, and you get an average of an average....
The Motor Vehicles (Variation of Speed Limits) (England and Wales) Regulations 2014
come into force on whichever is the later of—
(a)the 21st day after the day on which they are approved by resolution of the second House of Parliament to approve them; and
(b)6th April 2015.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
These Regulations amend the maximum speed limit on roads which are not motorways for vehicles (known as heavy goods vehicles) which have a maximum laden weight, or, if drawing a trailer, aggregate weight, exceeding 7.5 tonnes.
Regulation 2 amends Schedule 6, Part 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the above vehicles, firstly by substituting a maximum speed limit of 60 mph for the current limit of 50mph on dual carriageway roads and secondly by substituting a maximum speed limit of 50mph for the current limit of 40mph on single carriageway roads.

Could this be the first step in reducing the NSL for motorcycles and cars on single carriageway routes to 50mph?
That won't be necessary, because, as now, the lorries who ccurrently [illegally] travel at 50 mph on single carriageways effectively create mobile road blocks...or 'traffic-calming' measures.
I think this issue with LGV speed limits has entirely lost the plot....

Hi, I change recondition crankshaft and new shells, Engine head been recondition as well. all new seals and head gas kits, all injectors working properly. when garage guys put back every thing and start engine, its start but slightly misfiring and white smoke coming out like unburn diesal. Is it injector problem or slightly timig out ?? Read more
This will be a Pd engine (not common rail)so it is important that the injectors are correctly installed and the clearance to camshaft adjustment is right. The valve timing needs to be spot on and set up with the correct locking tools. Also ,if the camshaft has been renewed,is it the correct one.?

It seems this year I've read of several fatal incidents involving old f***s mowing down innocent pedestrians in cark parks, in busy towns etc. Each time it irks me to read they all claim they are good drivers, self declared medically fit, and get away with ot by claiming a sneezing, coughing or even unexpectedly "passed out" for a couple of seconds (unfortunate timing). Diabetic episodes or as this latest incident, "a seizure some sort", even though there are witnesses to his erratic behaviour prior to killing a young mother and permanently brain damaging another young woman. He "has been excused from attending the trial on health grounds, denies causing death by dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm."... Read more
Follow buses, then pass them very fast just after they stop. You can usually get a few that way.
The fastest-accelerating road legal vehicle in the world: based on a Chevrolet S10 truck with a 620 cubic inch twin-turbo V8. BHP isn't specified, but it will be several thousand. Of course it has very little to do with the base vehicle, but you've got to admire the work that's gone into it.

More likely the clkutch has been slipping for a while and you just haven't noticed it.
Does the clutch pedal feel normal? Do you have about 1" of free movement on the clutch pedal? If the answer to both is yes then you need a new clutch.
