Skoda Octavia Estate 2007 BXE - Misfiring and give thick white smoke - Milaap

Hi, I change recondition crankshaft and new shells, Engine head been recondition as well. all new seals and head gas kits, all injectors working properly. when garage guys put back every thing and start engine, its start but slightly misfiring and white smoke coming out like unburn diesal. Is it injector problem or slightly timig out ??

I assume this is a common rail engine in which case the injection timing can't be out as its electronically controlled - if its not common rail it could be of course. The smoke certainly sounds like unburnt diesel. It could be that the camshaft timing is slightly out but not by much or the valves would be hitting the pistons but that could mean the camshaft sensor feeding false information to the engine Ecu.

This will be a Pd engine (not common rail)so it is important that the injectors are correctly installed and the clearance to camshaft adjustment is right. The valve timing needs to be spot on and set up with the correct locking tools.Also ,if the camshaft has been renewed,is it the correct one.?
