If a dealer undertakes warranty work, I assume they are reimbursed for the cost of parts and labour by the manufacturer. Is this correct? Read more
If the car is still under the manufacturers warranty the dealer will have to get authorisation from the manufacturer to carry out the repair first and then as stated by RT above.
With so many cars being damaged by floodwater or falling debris - the second-hand car trade is going to be awash (sorry) with these cars soon - not a good time to be buying second-hand. Read more
I thought flood damaged cars should be Cat A (fully submerged) or Cat B Half submerged and both these catagories should prevent them re-emerging repaired.
I received a form through the post asking for the driver details driving my car on a time/date in December 13.
It doesn’t mention any reason, but states a hospital car park that I would have been in and out of that day.... Read more
Go onto the Pepipoo website quickly with the details - it sounds like someone alleging a RTA on private land.
Hi
Am hoping for some help please ?
I'm looking to buy the above car which has done 58,500 miles.
It is priced with a local dealer for £7495, is this a good price?
Also what is considered average milage per year, I've always thought it was 12k
Any help would be great thank you !

Practical, mile munchers which are also fun to drive on fast a-roads. The engine may not be the last word in refinement or economy but they are generally amongst the more reliable modern diesels and can return good mpg figures if not thrashed. Now the electrical niggles are sorted the Mondeo is a very, very good car. As the new model is coming out soon which will drop the value of Mondeos across the board, drive a hard bargain - that said - from a dealer that a very reasonable price and he may have already priced it to shift it.
Hi folks looking to buy a new car and both Toyota and Honda are doing o% finance, plus five year warranty, service packages. Which should I buy Toyota or Honda. Any thoughts..... Read more
Certainly the 2009 civic did not have a spare, supplied with can of goo and electric pump so doubt they have changed that.
Test drove the current model Civic and the Auris HSD, the Auris was a much more comfortable drive and though the new Civic was a slightly better ride than the previous model it was still harsh.
Hi, does anyone know when the manual version of the A6 ultra will start to be delivered? Read more
Hopefully I have an S line A6 Avant ultra manual arriving late April?
I think this should solve one of the problems with EVs. The hassles of charging especially outdoors. They shouldn't forget to design this information-tech so that public/private spaces can provide this utility for a fee/profit. Read more
I've been looking into a used car and have been thinking about a focus. A fiesta was appealing for its good fuel economy but I ruled it out as I frequently like to be able to put my bike or water sports equipment in the back. It's only just occurred to me that a fiesta van could offer the good economy and an open load space for various muddy and sandy kit. Can anyone tell me if it's easy to get a bike in one (wheels off of course)
Or any other suggestions for small economical vans? I guess an Astra van would be the next thing to look at if fiesta is too small. Read more
Are you sure you want to do your 2800 miles a month in a wee van? Don't get me wrong, I do know some people have to but usually they are getting paid for it !
Might be better to look for a more economical estate.
I don't live in the UK any more but I still listen to various UK internet radio stations. Even before I escaped from the UK the windscreen crack repair scare advert annoyed me -particularly the irritating twerp driving a windscreen repair van purporting to work for a certain company who guarentee that if you have a chip in the screen, when you turn the heater on to the windscreen it will crack.
Total waste product from back end of male cow IMHO... Read more
So you would rather pay your £60 or so excess for a new screen than try a £10 (or even free) repair.
Yes, I think it was £80 last time. Nothing beats a nice new clear sreen devoid of the thousands of sugar-grain-sized pits you get on those that have seen a few years of service.
