I had a pre war MG TB Tickford as a student. It was a heap so I scrapped it - and raised a lot of money (for then)

I've recently bought a 2007 Audi A4 Cabriolet. The fob on the spare keys won't unlock the car by remote, and if the keys are used physically in the lock the door does unlock but the alarm goes off. Any ideas about what's happening please? Read more
Does the spare key have a remote function? My Toyota spare has no remote function and if I use it to open the doors manually having previously locked the car using the (main) remote key the alarm goes off. It's a bit meanof Mr T not to supply 2 keys with remote functions!

Yeah, who cares. The banners gag was engineered, but amusing. Otherwise it was a bit dull. As an American author said on R4, every group should have its spokesperson, so why should stupid people be any different. We all know they are three lads, playing up to their image. Unfortunately we are heading towards a dumb politically correct HSE obsessed world where we all live in fear of saying the wrong thing.
As for the Mexican business, I found it hilarious, and I thought they were making fun of parodies of Mexicans, such as the sleeping poncho'ed, sobbrero-ed, Mexican in newspaper cartoons. You would have to be terminally stupid to think they thought that we thought Mexicans were lazy, flatulent .... blah blah.

With that in mind, I thought that I'd start a thread on tips for buying a cheap car.... Read more

A paint sealant is primarily supposed to protect one's vehicle properly from damaging enviromental impacts. They are engineered to bind together with the paint so that they provide protection for a period between 3 and 12 months, a period significantly longer than the length of the period of paint protection offered by a carnauba wax. I've driven a Toyota Lucida (1992-2000), imported secondhand from Japan, which had them. That would suggest that similar Toyota models, which were sold new in the UK, had them too.
