just cleared all sooty deposites out of system by ,an additive and a thrash to pass emissions,next day driving normal,then it just slowed and its like limp mode but no lights and possibly no turbo either,idles fine and drives ok but totaly gutless,help,please Read more

Old thread but maybe it can help others. I just had exact same problems with my -97 Peugeot 406 2.1 td, Lucas injection. Lack of power, turbo seemed to be dead, no smoke, no engine/K-light in dash. It turned out to be a broken wire at the air inlet temperature sensor. Well worth checking before taking out the engine to change turbo.... ;-)

There are two parts to your question - removing the glass and doing so without breaking it. I explained to you on Tue 10 Jan 2012 21:09 how to remove the glass. But to do so without breaking it will depend on how firmly it is clipped in to the mirror and on the skills of the person removing it! If you are not mechanically minded then you need to get practical assistance from someone who is.
