Audi A4 Cabriolet - 2007 - use of spare keys sets off alarm - richmurrell
I've recently bought a 2007 Audi A4 Cabriolet. The fob on the spare keys won't unlock the car by remote, and if the keys are used physically in the lock the door does unlock but the alarm goes off. Any ideas about what's happening please?

If the spare key opens and starts the car,then I would suspect it has lost its remote synchronisation and is not the wrong key.The remote function is reqd to disarm the alarm system.hth

Does the spare key have a remote function? My Toyota spare has no remote function and if I use it to open the doors manually having previously locked the car using the (main) remote key the alarm goes off. It's a bit meanof Mr T not to supply 2 keys with remote functions!
