Does anyone know whether the 2.0l EcoBoost Mondeos circa 2011 - PowerShift autos as standard - feature auto-start-stop as an option, or even as standard?
How do I tell if a particular model has start/stop? Do I need to kick the auto gearbox into N to enable it? Does it need the engine to warm up first? (How long, under urban driving conditions?) alternatively should there be a prominent "disable start/stop" button on the dash or computer menus?

Hard to really pinpoint without a diagnostic. Get one done with Lexia equipment as that will read live data on the engine and key components as well as the "P" fault codes.

Where did you get the serial number?The only way to get the correct number is if you pull out the radio and check the label on top of unit.Your entry procedure is correct
A friend has a 2007 vw polo 1.4 tdi with an engine start issue. He had the AA look at it, but the guy just said it had dropped an injector and was only running on 3 cyliders, the car only has 3 cylinders anyway!!! So fat lot of good he was.
Basically, the engine turns but will not fire. He initially got it started, but it ran lumpy at idle, but was ok at high rpm. When he let it return to idle, it then died and could not be restarted.... Read more
