Hello, I am 31 yo, would like to buy my first car and will be doing 8-10k annually. My budget is around 5k. I have found a 5 yo approved used Mazda 2 with 60k mileage on the clock. The insurance will come around £1600. If I increase my budget to 6k, I might buy a new suzuki alto or dacia sandero. Which one would be a better choice? Read more

Hi Avant, I started to lower my budget due to the fact that my insurance is not going much lower and the advices that I received above. If you know any reliable dealer, that would be very useful! Thanks, Emel

i have a daf leyland 45 and it wont start as of recent. it has been parked up since september 2013 with the occassional start now and then to keep engine running. its a cummins turbo engine. batteries went flat and i put them on charge and easily started it and let engine run for a while . batteries went again as they were old. discovered that one of the terminals was broken and rusty old which inturn damaged terminals of the recharged battery, so bought another battery but seems did not have much power. brought batteries with power and there was some kind of spark when i connectd battiries but i had replaced damaged positive terminal. i discovered batteries had charged but there was an irritating buzzing as a result but leyland would not start. power is there but wont kick at all. anyone with an idea as to what might be the problem. thanks in advance.

just realised that the small terminal chord (solunoid!) had actuall loosened or totaly detatched on the side of the starter. im made to understand it needs soldering. problem now is there the starter is held by 3 small bolts which are not budging at all cause of rust. have tried spraying DW40 and could not untighten them. any idea how i can sort this please.

Ok- just about every gps on the market offers some sort of speed camera warning. BTW this is not an advert, I am trying to find out if anybody uses this system, if is it reliable and/or effective, particularly to warn of mobile speed cameras.

Have a friend who lives in switzerland where he has a real time mobile camera reporting app on his phone, and works for him.

It's entirely possible that the app that your friend is using is in fact the Coyote system, I would be very interested to hear what he has to say about it....

Hi - does anyone on this forum have any first hand experience of the Audi A6 standard fit sat Nav system (not the upgraded system).
The reason I ask is that I have experience of the Mercedes Comand system and the BMW business and professional navigation systems and both are excellent at redirecting when the traffic is problematic and I want to understand if anyone has experience of the A6 system and in particular the traffic management system. Any advice would be welcome. Read more

Anyone witness this?

How do we know you have not a got beef against them and just looking to cause trouble? Traffic Police and VOSA must be dealing with difficult individuals constantly and see it all the time. What was in the diary you didnt want him to see and why didnt you want him in your cab? Or was it that they were just inconveniencing you?...
