Hi. Need some help on this one.
I bought a code scanner to check for any faults before we travel across France.
The scanner gets power from the car but displays Link Error.
I've been to a garage and they have the same. Not communicating.
Fuses have been checked and the plug seems ok.
Everything on the Car works well.
What's the next step and can I ask where the wiring goes from the plug.
The garage said something about a can bus module.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks. Damian Read more
1 year old car that has a fault necessitating RAC call out twice. When fault develops car is barely driveable.
At this juncture Dealer is unable to locate fault ( seems to be in electrical connections that RAC mad twiddled with, but dealer says unless they can isolate fault, will not replace under warranty.) The dealer is now going to test drive the car tomorrow to see if they can replicate the fault, but seem to think if they cannot, I should take the car back until it happens again. ... Read more
Getting a "Known Fault" fixed, Mazda recall or service bulletin, is likely to much easier than a car swap but may not be the result you are looking for.
"...there are many parking company like xxxx Limited are provides both parking and living facility." I assume you mean you're looking for overnight accommodation before a flight, with parking for the duration of your holiday included.
If so, Google for Gatwick Airport Hotels; you will find many of them offer overnight accommodation either before or after your flight (or both), plus parking and transfers.... Read more
You had to Google it as one word - then it came up as a parking company, which I will now never use because of such a pathetic attempt at spamming.
I've left the thread as edited rather than deleting the lot as there are some useful tips about reputable parking companies above.
At the end of last year my Motorhome (Renault master base) . Would not pull away and after spending over £800 was told it was the fuel line that was split - which they duly repaired and all was well for the month I drove it. It was then in storage over winter. On stating it after storage the glowplugs warning light stays on an it operates in limp home mode only. The AA diagnosed a faulty glowplugs relay box which has been changed to no avail. My garage says it now has to go to the dealer to be diagnosed and this worries me as they took so long to diagnose and repair the last time. Is it possible that this problem is still related to the leaky fuel line ? Any other suggestions that Gould help avoid yet another massive bill from the dealer? Any help gratefully received. Hello, I am 31 yo, would like to buy my first car and will be doing 8-10k annually. My budget is around 5k. I have found a 5 yo approved used Mazda 2 with 60k mileage on the clock. The insurance will come around £1600. If I increase my budget to 6k, I might buy a new suzuki alto or dacia sandero. Which one would be a better choice? Read more
Hi Avant, I started to lower my budget due to the fact that my insurance is not going much lower and the advices that I received above. If you know any reliable dealer, that would be very useful! Thanks, Emel

1424NM of torque! That's more than the Veyron! Is the gearbox made out of diamond or something?!

An update !!!!
I had a flooded passenger foot well a month ago and the parking sensors had never really worked.
Just the odd noise.
When it was full of water there was a cracking noise.
I disconnected the module under the passenger seat (parking sensors)
And the obd port now works. !!!
Thanks again. I would never of checked any of this without the replies.
