i Must say never had an iisue with my Merc the Jaguar that replace well thats had it's issues. These days diesel are not a now brainer any more. DPF's & the cost of fuel mean the savings are hard realise.
I would thu agree and say go the MB dealer route. If not service history is vital to check out...

I think the need to go to the Alps with five up means that the medium sized Focus, Astra etc will prove tight on space. On the other hand the day to day requirements of (I assume) solo use mean a larger car is going to be underused. If space for 5 is essential then I'd second Accord and Zafira suggestions or how about an Avensis or Mondeo? If it were me I might go for a medium car (C-Max is good on space in a medium footprint) and see if my proposed travelling companions can be limited to 3................or buy an MX5 and get someone else in the party to buy the big car ;-)

Yesterday my partner and I got a puncture in her Hyundai Getz and I was very impressed when she whipped out the spare wheel and a Jack and replaced it. I would have been on the phone to the AA.
This has got me thinking about my new (to me) BMW Z3. It doesn't have a spare wheel because it is so small, which means if I had a punture in the middle of rural north Yorkshire where we live, I would be totally stuck. Are run flat tyres a good idea for this situation? Would I have to change all 4 at once, or could I do it gradually as the current tyres wear out?... Read more
Not so cars built after Jan 2014 do but prevoiusly not as i understand it ,I had a X type bought new with run flats and no monitoring system 2006 circa also a new mini of the same age also with runflats as standard and no monitoring system.
Strange that, had a 2005 Mini with runflats AND standard TPMS. The reset button was down by the handbrake....

It was my first 300 mile trip yesterday in it since I bought it. I was thinking the coil was starting to break down but not fully gone so it missed a few sparks?
I did a few tests with the fuel trim Bank 1 and 2 long term.
At idle it came in at +14. Then at 1500rpm it was 9.4 on both and 2500rpm it was -0.8. OBD is reporting nothing is stored in regards to ECU codes.
Can anyone tell me where i can get some technical info, workshop manual etc for my Citroen C Crosser please?
Ive tried everywhere, even looking for the Peugeout 4007 and Mitsubishi Freelander as they are the same vehicle. Not sure though if the engine and transmission are different in the outkander.

When Rhodesia declared UDI in the late 60s we in Zambia were put on petrol rationing, 4 gallons per month. The businessmen in the Congo responded by driving lorries loaded with 44 gallon drums of petrol and parking just their side of the border. I joined a friend to go and buy some and we drove our cars through the border at Mokambo. The immigration and customs staff did the best they could. Perhaps, heaven forbid, they were on a retainer. The petrol was decanted into our waiting vessels by men on the lorry, syphoning through 1/2 inch garden hose. If you imagine yourself sucking water through a 1/2 inch garden hose to start the syphon and how much you got in your mouth ! I observed usually dark brown coloured men turn green.
