My 1.8 TDCi (2009 plate) car has completely died due to an engine problem with the gudgeon pin affecting the bearings. It has just over 69000 miles on the clock and is nearly 3years old.
It has been serviced at 12435, 26873, 47132 (with a further two since then) and was due to go in for its service & MOT in June (where they identified a major engine problem).
Ford are stating that due to the 'lateness' of the 2nd & 3rd service there is nothing they can do.
Has anyone had a similar problem with their car or have any advice for what I can do next? Read more
How can you expect goodwill when you haven't used Ford for the last 3 services, or to put it another way, 40,000 plus miles?

LVLOs were closed for the day yesterday from 1100 hrs. I gather the reason was to announce to staff in all 39 offices that they will all be redundant from October 2013 as the function is being transferred to DVLA Swansea / online.

Anyone up for starting a lobby to reverse this?
Given that 20,000 redundancies have just been announced for the armed forces, I'm not sure the fate of a few thousand extraneous civil servants is not really a major priority....
I'm thinking of buying a new car and currently looking at a 1 series BMW. After doing some research I came across a forum where I was shocked to see some CCTV of a £43k BMW beng stolen with ease. I just did a HPI check on a passat im thinking of buying. The mileage shows 132k and the interior is fine (No rips wear on drivers seat) tho the steering wheel has wear on it.

My daughter had a Rav and it was reliable and quite good to drive. I have had a few Volvos and like most people find the main dealers prices for servicing expensive. If however you can find a good indie then you have a recipe for keeping the car to a very high mileage and many years too if that is what you want and more reasonable costs.
Hi guys :) does anybody have any information about this model? I just got one for my mom its 600w 48v i payed 200$ for it (it didnt have batteries) and i got a new batteries 48v 18A but i cant get it to work.. all the light and gauges are working but its not moving. I have electric bike 2x1000w and i connected everything my self so i kind of know what i am doing with those things . The scooter cables and ECU are kind of the same as the one on my bike. I did oped the ECU in the scooter but it doesnt smell or look burned and there is a red light on and the green one is flashing with a short pause after every 5 flashes, does anybody know what this means... I am wondering if something is wrong with the ECU.. maybe there is some error codes but i cant find anything about this model.
