My car is in VGC but would appreciate your advice on those mechanical areas of the car which might need checking prior to what mabe an arduous journey. Naturally brakes are my top concern. Again your advice will be appreciated.

I would expect the road surfaces to be in good condition. The roads in Bavaria and Switzerland put ours to shame...

Just fixed my C Max after low speed shunt . Seat belt tensioners gone off and replaced but airbags were OK Now I Cant put dash light out as diagnostic reads "Crash data stored".

Can I just change Airbag control module for another one or is it Vehicie Specific and will I have to get my own module cleared before the light will go out ?... Read more

Hi I had this with Seat Arosa I bought.Easiest thing to do is speak to a company that deals with airbag resetting. You should be able to find one locally online.Mine cost abt £50 to wipe the data.If you do get another airbag module theres every chance it will also have crash data on on it as mine did! Hope this is helpful

Thanks Woogie -I think you are right re another one having same problem I have had mine re set - there and back in two days and £30 seems good value with todays prices. Cheers Mike

I have a 2000 model Citreon Xantia 2.0HDI (90bhp with air con) and the red stop light flashes intermittenly with the red light on the temp gauge, I have changed the two fan motors in front of the rad twice and the lights stopped for a short while but now back again, I also noticed recently that when the cab heater/cooler fan is off the lights dont flash, any ideas please.

Unless there is a sturdy crossmember or subframe the full width of the car, then no.

One side at a time. Won't take you much longer and better to be safe than sorry.

We get exactly the country we deserve for voting in (every time) such a bunch of self serving greedy muppets at all levels.

But Politics seems to only attract the self-serving greedy ones... Who else CAN we vote in?

Alfa Romeo in itself is a good brand when it comes to cars but as the article said, there are still a lot of people who are unfamiliar with it and would rather go for famous manufacturers like GM or BMW. Extending the warranty might help, but this should also be paired with efficient after-sales support. This could help make sure that customers continue to be satisfied even after the vehicle has rolled out of the showroom. Read more
