Hi, This is my first time on this forum and first post, I normally only use forums to find information but I found a lot of posts with no solutions, looked like the asker just couoldn't be bothered posting the fix - if forums are good enough to look for answers then you should take the time to post solutions not just find them.

Here's a solution to a problem I had but couldn't get a solution on a forum - it may be there I just haven't found it :-)

My MGF 97 VVC cut out and wouldn't restart - no real warning. When turned over it would run for a few seconds then stall and then not restart. First port of call was coil pack, then leads, plugs, fuel filter, manifold, new injectors and loom. After all these (not at the same time) I still had the same problem, Then a friend suggested I check the cat as it may be blocked, I thought anything was worth a go at this point, so I disconnected the downpipe at the manifold and presto the car started. So I now need to buy a new exhaust system, but I hop this is of some help to others who may have a similar problem and have been equally as stumped as me. I have ford transit that pulls in slightly to left. Changing the tyres from rear to front solved the problem for a short while but now problem is back. When I had tracking done, they done it to Zero Degrees (Parrallel) Can anyone tell me if this is the correct tracking angle, as I cant seem to solve this problem.. Thanks. Malcolm Read more

This is the error code which comes up on diagnostics and having thought that perhaps the new one I bought was a dud I put another one in but still no luck.

Can you help?
Purchased 61 plate Volvo C30 in March 2012. After two weeks I returned the vehicle to the Volvo dealer to have intermittent acceleration fault looked at. It has been back 8 times and still they cannot mend it. It is the new generation engine from Volvo. It has been recallibrated and had new software many times and recently had clutch and drive shaft replaced,the latter under instruction from head Tech from Volvo Cars UK. A neighbour passed on a forum feed to me where others have had same scenario. Dealership now in full denial of any issue at all with vehicle. There must be people out there in the know about what is going on wih that engine and surely having been sold a dud and only still having the vehicle four months later because they promised they could mend it and sent me out at my cot to "test the vehicle for them for two weeks" after each attempt to mend it....AND so on..... The head tech at the dealership totally admitted car was faulty and drove abysmally...I have heard whisperings that he has been fired.

Can you help, in any way to help bring this sorry chain of events to a close?

Got a very frustrating problem with my 54 plate golf tdi. It seems when it rains the engine warning light comes on and will not go off until the fault gets deleted. I am assuming there is a fault there as my mate used to work for vw for 6 years so he borrowed the 1552 from vw, plugged it it in but there was no fault found at all. so he goes through the process of deleting the codes (even though the 1552 didnt pick any up) and low and behold, the light goes out until it rains the next time and it will come on again!...
