Must agree with Unthrottled on this one, but at this price the consumables are a substantial portion of the car's cost so in no particular order..
Are the tyres OK (and how much are new ones if they are not - bit of a bummer paying 2k on a car with all the bells & whistles and then 2 months later being faced with over £100 a corner!!)...

The speed sensor is fitted at the back of gearbox,near driveshaft.What is the reason for replacement?hth

Are you sure rebel?
I'd assume that's a 'B' series engine which AFAIK is non-interference....
The problem i have is that my car only starts first thing in the morning from the day before. What I mean is i could drive my car to work leave it all day until home time. Then when i try to start the car, the EPS (squiggly lights below a car symbol) light on the dash stays on , the steering wheel is very light, and the EPS light above the gear stick lights up in the "OFF" position and the car wont start.
However if I'm lucky and the EPS light goes off (the steering wheel is very heavy) the car starts, gets me home and that's it until the following morning.
This problem only started when my car was in the garage for MOT repairs, new rear discs and callipers and a new front driver side Cv gaiter being replaced.
I did have the car plugged in and the only error code related to a voltage surge
Any ideas?

From the outside, the Rapid looks like nothing more than a VW with a Skoda nose and Skoda badges. And that's what it undeniably is. However, dig deeper and Rapid proves to be much more than a Volkswagen clone. Yes, some of the shortcomings of the VW remain. These are not the most refined cars to come out of Planet VW, the Rapid doesn't seem to adhere as closely to global build quality standards as something like a Fabia and this car is still nowhere as well equipped as some of the competition. However, on the plus side, Skoda has ironed out many of the Vento's other shortcomings. The diesel engine is more linear but just as punchy, the shorter geared petrol now works much better and ride and handling are much improved as well. Me too. Side and rear looks like it has strong A4 genes, no bad thing IMO. Not sure about the grille and front lights they look like they were designed separately to a budget but the rest looks very classy.
he direction indicators suddenly stopped working on my Peugeot 306 estate 2000 HDI. I noticed the15 amp fuse had blown. Replaced it and it blew again. All hazard lights work so it is not the bulbs shorting. What could be causing this problem . Can anyone help.Many thanks Home »
If the hazzards are OK I would suspect the indicator stalk.
