I've just bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I was hoping to access BCA Auctionview on the move but it's a nightmare! It keeps going back to the log in page everytime I try to view a car or an auction catalogue! I've spent hours getting nowhere with it but annoyingly the phone works fine on all other websites! Is the BCA site not compatible with Android phones?
I tried Auctionview on a friend's iphone last year and it worked perfectly. I so wish I got an iphone now but I'm stuck with a 2 yr contract and I can't return the Samsung. I'm half tempted to sell it on eBay and then pay the line rental with the proceeds! I'll probably lose about £300 but I know it will drive mad not being able to access Auctionview on the move when that's the only reason I bought the phone!
Has anyone else on here got an Android Phone that uses Auctionview? Are there any apps or shortcuts to making it work online. I'm just hoping that BCA will eventually make it's website mobile internet friendly! It's driving me mad as the main reason I upgraded to such a dear phone was to access Auctionview on train trips to car auctions!
Greatly appreciate any help Read more
Many thanks for the replies. I'm hoping that the new browser will kid the phone into thinking it s a pc and Auctionview will work ok. It is really bizarre though as literally every other website I've tried to view works perfectly, not much slower than my pc! I can't return the phone without losing hundreds so I'll keep trying! I'm hoping that BCA might bring out a mobile friendly site eventually!

Do you agree with this? Is it 'rampant male insecurity' that makes you buy a car like this, or just that they're often a good drive and they look nice..? Read more

Have not been aware of any information or test drives of the new model M.G.6. It certainly looks a stylish car from the few pictures that I have seen, however no information about engines or prices etc.
I would like to think that its going to be a good product as the production line is in the U.K. Read more
Look back just a few years to the rubbish Kia Rio etc. MG will be a major force within a decade producing more cars than little old BMW. The Chinese got a comapny with much heritage, tradition, strongly thought of in USA, on a plate for peanuts, with a factory site in the UK.
my son is considering buying a 03/04 RX8

Yet again I find myself with another VAG car (this time a Skoda Fabia) which although I was initially enthralled with and highly complimentary to, after 100,000 miles (7 short years) the same old story.... Suspension components, bushes, track rods, bearings, rear shocks etc etc more or less shot and costing me a fortune to fix. How come the rest of the car can look pristine, the engine/gearbox is great, but they cant even put a decent coat of paint on those under body components and afford them no protection whatsoever.
Brake components also dont seem to be very durable either.... Read more
Thank you Steve, I did attempt to explain this and the defeciencies in the video presentation, without avail. The consensus appeared to be that I regarded myself as a driving "God" even though I stated that I never rated myself as a fast driver, but had good reason to rate my abilities in poor traction conditions.
Based on 30 years driving experience in all conditions. I could only figger that some "driving dorks" demand the right to drive the same in snow as on a dry road, i.e. with a disconnected brain....

We've had a fault with our air conditioning which has now been fixed but I'm not sure if we're being charged for something that we shouldn't have to pay for.
Our local garage replaced the pressure sensor but the air con still did not work. The car was sent to Renault who diagnosed the fault as a faulty wiring loom. This was then replaced and all now works.... Read more
I need details of my NCB from Direct Dial for a policy that lapsed and I instructed them not to renew in May of this year. They now say that they no record of me ever being insured with them. All the reference numbers from the insurance certificate that I still have do not bring up any records, they say that all their current records are prefixed with an "I", all my numbers start with an "E" and they say that these numbers changed recently. Are they just being awkward or could there be a deeper problem? I have payment details and dates etc and there are no claims pending, nor none made in the time that the policy was in force.Their attitude seems to be that somehow I have contributed to this problem and that I am quoting the wrong numbers on purpose. What do I do now? Read more
Presumably you have the old certificates and a reciept for the policy on your card statement, even better is a copy of a finance agreement if you took out instalments on the policy.
If you take these to the insurance ombudsman, they should be able to sort you out. I had a problem with another insurance company and the merest mention of the FSA was enough to have them grovelling.

Thanks Galileo,
I did indeed, 2 nuts.
It's a worry .... :o)...
