hi i have an 06 diesel aygo, i have had it for just over a year, and i have had to have a new power steering column as the eps motor does not come seperate, also the gas emmisions valve has failed, and the clutch had to be renewed, and last of all the wheel bearings at the front of car were shot. so i was wondering if anyone has had these type of problems with their aygo. my aygo started to throw out problems at 45000 miles, any info would be appreciated Read more

i brought a march 2007 diesle saab on the 20/10/10 with 32435 miles from a used car dealer. had the car inspected today after a noise developed and been told the dual mass flywheel is on its way out. the car is now on 34742 miles. where do i stand on getting this repaired by the seller under this 3 month warranty ???... Sale of Goods Act potentially applies for six years - although making a successful claim gets much stickier after 6 months.
The claim is against the selling dealer not against Saab.
I've read the honest john review about the Mk IV mondeo and there is specific feedback stating "do not drive through floods due to the low air intake". Why so specific........ compare to other diesels
I'm currently looking at getting a titanium x sport. Is this a major problem with this this car? A lot of back roads tend to flood where I live and I don't fancy having to watch out every time it rains.... Read more
The snorkel for the airbox opens right behind the grill, just to the side of the passenger-side headlight. It's not particularly low-down (it's about the same as my old Passat), but if you went too fast through any flooding and got a bow-wave, it could suck water in.
Hi All,
Someone drove into the back of my car last week and the insurance company has advised me that it is uneconomical to repair and it is a write off. However I would prefer them to repair the vehicle as it was not my fault and we would not get enough money to buy a similar car. So I have been looking online and came across this quote on Moneysavingexpert.com and was wondering (hoping!) that it still applies as it was written in 2008:... Read more

Would you trust a Nationwide Autocentre to service your Audi, VW etc? Read more
I had my 4 year old Vauxhall Signum serviced by Nationwide, they identified it as needing fully synthetic oil and charged accordingly. No complaints with the work, they were only £30 or so cheaper than a main dealer, though in the case of Audi it would be a more significant saving.
Certainly wouldn't use them for a car still under warranty.
I ordered a VW Scirocco back in September through a leasing company reccommended to me by a friend who used them before. I was initially told that delivery would be late November, after repeated delays in a delivery date I am noe told that the car wont be delivered until March (at the earliest). After a bit of research on the Internet it does seem that VW are having production delays. Can anyone tell me why ,and how long realisitcally I should be looking at for delivery of the new car? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Your thoughts and answers would be greatly appreciated.

It's almost certainly a shortage of diesel engines that's holding things up, and not surprisingly it's affecting the whole VAG. My new Octavia vRS petrol is only going to take 12 weeks (factory order) and has a build week allocated: a diesl would have taken several months.
Maybe change your order to a 2.0 TSI?

Examine your camshaft and the valve followers. You may find these severely worn.

Arrgh! Easy start and glow plugs make unhappy bedfellows. When you get it fixed, don't use it. If you must use it disconnect the glow plugs first. The fact that easy start kicked it into life is interesting-and worrying. Ether works when either the injection pressure is too low to atomise the fuel, or the cylinder pressure is too low to ignite it. Do you get any grey/white smoke from the exhaust pipe when you crank it? In lieu of easy start, use a hair dryer on the hottest heat setting to blow hot air into the intake manifold or warm up the intercooler. This will make up for weak compression or injection. Then see if it starts. If it still doesn't, you then need to investigate if the injectors are supplying fuel. If there is fuel in the piston bowl, then I'm afraid the solution is going to be expensive. Happily, it might yet be a failing crank or cam sensor. But see if it's getting fuel first.
Hi
I'm hoping someone may have had a similar problem to me as the Citroen ZX seems to be renowned for overheating problems, though I can't find the exact same problem online - in most cases I can find online the air blower stops putting out hot air which isn't what I'm seeing... Read more
If it is h/g leakage it will normally only pressurise when the engine is under load, the harder you push it the greater the water loss. If you leave it standing overnight and there is still pressure in the system, that's almost certainly what it will be.

You poor thing I really feel for you. Toyota cut costs massively around this time and teamed up with Peugeot to make this car you have. You are not alone to experience probs around this mileage, I have heard of this along the grape vine. My advice would be to get it fixed and buy a Ford Fiesta, brilliant cars very well made at this age. Corsa Diesels are quite good as well on that plate. Good luck.
