Ok, so i have had my car for a little over a year. Only had a couple problems. Mostly things that you would expect from a cheap car. I bought it for $100USD and in total (Including tires, breaks, spark plugs ext.) i sit at about $1300USD.

Recently i started to have a problem. If im accellerating, everything is fine. When i press the clutch however, the rpms drop down and start bouncing between 700 and 1400 rpms. And if i am at a steady speed, sometimes it'll sputter. ... Read more

It's a mechanical. My buddies and i were looking at it today. And we think it is that rubber gasket as well as the solenoid. We are going to start working on it tomorrow and see what we can find. The vacuum lines are fine, but we cant really get at the gasket without pulling it apart. My buddy said it was pretty much just "dieseling" like how diesels can run away.

Certainly a strong competitor to the Dacia Duster. I know what i would choose!

I would not choose either, imo too many have terrible drivers and think they own the road, so, China can keep it

Does my car have a DPF filter?

Most of the times throughout the week I take very short trips to work and back home, however after a relatively long trip, eg like over 100 miles, on a sudden stop my car would occasionally cut out and wouldn't crank up again for a period of few minutes. ... Read more

The Mazda 3 used the same 1.6 TDCi used in the Ford Focus, Volvo C30/S40/V50 and several Peugeot?Citroen models (and the Mini).

The 110PS engine in the Focus (which is the same output as the Mazda 3) needed a DPF to comply with Euro 4 emmisions and since this standard became law on 01 January 2006 it is 100% certain that your car has a DPF....

I have a problem with the heater in my Laguna. The fan to the passenger side blows only cold air out, no matter what setting I have on that side, even when set to 26. The heater on the drivers side blows out heat correctly, although the fan runs constantly, possibly trying to compensate for the passenger side.

Any help would be appeciated.... Read more

If it's dual zone climate control, it sounds ike the control unit has failed. it could also be a jammed directional control flap buried underneath the dash.

Laguna mk2 are bad news, both electrically and mechanically, especially the diesel, think carefully before throwing lots of money at faults

PSA Peugeot Citroen CEO Tavares interview quote re taking the (Citroen) DS line upmarket:

"Infiniti was created in 1989. Twenty years later I was in charge in North America and we outsold Audi in the US. Ten years previously we were selling just 150,000 cars a year. It took us 20 years to get there. So we have to be patient. I don’t challenge my brand CEO on volume. I don’t measure success of our premium brand through volume, I do it through per-unit profit, which means each car I sell is very profitable and makes huge margins. The most viable thing about any premium brand is pricing power. Start pushing on volume and you destroy the pricing power. I’ve been saying this is a 20 to 30 year story. We need to be very persistent, we must keep on track. Like Infiniti in its first 20 years or Audi in its first 15 years - it was a very slow process." Read more
