The 50k XF for £12600 sounds cheap but it was a BCA Grade 4 appraised car so it will have had its fair share of dents and scratches. I believe that the 204 bhp 11 plate Audi A6 is actually a 3.0 litre rather than a 2.0 and the Prius is a 1.5 rather than a 2.8 litre Read more

Hi,
Suggest you take it for a run and when you get home, take the wheel off to see if the hub still turns. You should be able to see if the caliper/pads has seized. If the caliper/pads are free then its most likely the hub bearing....
Say you had up to £15,000 to put into a car, planned to enjoy it for a year or two before selling it on again, and all with the express purpose of losing as little on it as possible, what car would that be?
(For myself, mileage'll be minimal and I've no intention of ever asking, "Was I really going that fast, Officer?")... Read more

That will leave you some ££ over for one of these www.w124.co.uk...
Hi there,
I've got a rather unusual problem with my A3. Every 300 to 500 miles the car will stall about a mile and a half down the road at a junction. Each time this happens the car will not start again. It turns over and over but will not fire.... Read more
Two possibilities spring to mind IF it has had a code read that comes up blank. One is the in tank fuel lift pump and the other, more likely, one is the crankshaft speed sensor which is a common failure on the BKD engine BUT it is a sod to replace.

Can anyone tell me where the factory fitted audible alarm for the reverse parking aid is located on a Ford Focus 2005 2 litre Diesel Estate Zetec Climate tcdi. My alarm is not sounding any longer. My reversing light is operating normally. Any information on what could be wrong would be appreciated. I have a Haynes Owners Workshop Manual but it isn't shown on the wiring diagram neither is there reference to it elsewhere in the manual. Read more

This dealer www.automaticcarsltd.co.uk/ specialises in automatics and over the last few years seems to have made a habit of finding very low mileage Yaris Verso autos. I'm not sure how they find them but considering they were last sold new in 2005 it's amazing they keep coming up with cars that only have mileage in the teens of thousands.
I've never visited or bought a car from them as they're darn sarf where it's easier to find auto's, indeed I've even heard of dealer groups shipping autos from oop north to darn sarf because they're easier to sell in the South East.
