Have a Jazz wheel size 16x6J tyre size 185 55 R16 (83H) and would like to know if there is any interchangeability between this wheel and other car model wheels. Read more
I believe all Jazz from 2002 -8 share the same PCD. And ditto from 2009 on (15 " and 16" wheels are definitely interchangeable after 2009 as dealer offered to swap them over for me).

The crankshaft speed senor on that engine can be a nightmare to change. First of all you have to remove the oil filter housing and then using a ball ended hex hey, try and get the sensors screw out without rounding the head out as VW decided to make it impossible to get straight access to the screw. If the head does round out the gearbox has to come off to gain access to the sensor so the plastic can be ground away to get some grips on the screw.
I see that Toyota has issued another recall for steering related issues now on Corolla, Avensis and Prius models.
I appreciate that there are getting a few too many of these but I continue to have the utmost respect for Toyota as a Company and the fact that they refuse to hide these issues and risk the bad publicity to do what is correct for the customer.... Read more
Agreed.
After getting rid of my Passat as VAG wouldn't replace the dangerously faulty injectors I will certainly be looking towards Toyota for my next car. Ok, VAG finally agreed to do something about the injectors but its way too late for my liking!...
How do I replace the radio light behind the dash in a 2003 Renault Scenic Fidji ? The radio still works but you can't see it at night. Thanks Read more
Not a difficult fix.You need to remove the top part of the dash,(screws behind speaker grilles at end of dash),then remove the central display to replace bulbs.hth
Hi my Turbo has gone on my Crafter, which I have changed, I have also changed the oil pump but there is no oil going round to check the oil pressure? Any ideas what to do? Read more
Thanks Peter, think we have just done it, think it was air lock.
I drive a Chevrolet Matiz 2008 Model and recently (September) had an MOT and service. On driving the car after the MOT/Service I noticed a sort of warbling/vibrating sound from the front axle. I reasoned that the Geo-alignment they carried out may have caused this and ignored it to begin with but ever since it has just been getting worse. Its really loud now and I am worried it may cause a blow out or something like that so I contacted the garage where the mot/service was done (something I should have done as soon as I noticed the noise I admit) and I have it booked in for next week as they are busy. Thing is I can see them denying it has anything to do with the mot/service as I have left it so long and I noticed that on the full service schedule, under 'Prepare vehicle for hand back' they have put a tick next to 'listen for abnormal noise or vibration'! I reckon I'm going to have trouble getting them to correct whatever it is but I just wanted to ask, given the above does anyone out there have an idea what it might be and more importantly if it is something likely to cause an accident? And is there any cosmetic checks I could carry out myself to check for any danger. I have to use my car for work and I am scared I will have a blow out on the way to work... Just to recap the service was carried out on 13/09 and the geo alignment is written down as 'Geo-align (tyre wear + off> et wheel)'. They have recommended changing both front tyres due to worn inner + edges and I have the car booked in with the manufacturers for new tyres also next week.

Souns like a wheel bearing/driveshaft or losse wheel.
"It gets dark from about 5.00pm these days you selfish morons, you don't need to set off fireworks at 10 or 11". Like last night and the night before.
When will these numbskulls consider others when they let off "display" quality fireworks from their back gardens. It is a working day. Kids are in bed. I want an early night. Yet we now get almost a whole month of noise and anti social behaviour because the selfish one's amongst us think it is their "right". Okay, have your fun, but have them at a reasonable hour.... Sorry for the multiple models of car, but I have acquired a few cars over the years and I just can't seem to bring myself to let go of any of them!
I really need to let go of at least one of them (if only to get some driveway space back), but I know I will get a paltry amount for each of them, so I'd like readers' advice on which one(s) to sell and not kick myself afterwards. ... Read more
This one depends on your attitude to the 535. If you're getting enjoyment out of it, keep it, but as it's SORNed that suggests you haven't got the time to enjoy it. If so, flog it before it goes expensively wrong.
Second question - do you have any money to put into a deal? If so, you could consider flogging all three and getting something newer, perhaps bigger than the Volvo but smaller than the Honda if you don't need all that space. ...
what is the cost and how long to repair syncro to 1st and 2nd gears Read more
I used to be a dab hand of removing Alfa gearboxes and replacing the syncro cones a terrible weak spot at the time I could do a gearbox in a afternoon. But these had a box that was very easy to remove unlike a Sedona, I suspect its front wheel drive not the easiest of jobs so I would want it to right first time I would be tempted to fit a recondioned box that is if I was keeping the vehicle plus all new clutch parts while I was at it to be on the safe side.
But what makes you think that the syncro has gone more than likely to a faulty or worn clutch.

VW offers standard DAB on everything ... apart from Up.
