Model year 2007/57 plate, Engine cut out today and would'nt restart, AA came out and his computer said low fuel pressure. He said there was no fuel in the tank, put 2 gallon in erased the fault code, started it and it was fine. 5 minutes later after putting another £30 of fuel in, back it went into limp mode with engine management light on. Hi Guys, I’m a proud new owner of a 2010 (10 plate) Peugeot 207 1.4 VTI Sport petrol, with less than 6,000 miles on the clock and I am very happy with it (I like the all the toys that you get with as standard). I have noticed a few things though and being a new 207 owner and never having owned a Peugeot before, I don’t know if they are normal or not, so I hoping that you guys will steer me in the right direction. I’ve noticed a tapping noise coming from the engine, now I don’t know if this is the normal engine noise of the 207 or there is something abnormal. I can just about hear this tapping, while I am stopped at traffic lights for example with the window closed and when I park the car and leave the engine running and get out it’s very noticeable. Also when I start the engine and let it idle for a while I can hear a click noise every so often, when I rev the engine it seems to disappear for a while then it comes back. I’m just wonder what this noise could be? Read more
The tapping noise you hear at tick over may just be the injector solonoids clicking if its faint, and the intermitant click may be the air con pump or EVAP valve.
To be honest if tyou have a noise that concerns you , my advise would be to visit your dealer.
Hi,

Hi Al,I had the exact same problem. Look under the sills (outside the car - both sides) and you'll find a long plastic strip approx 4Ft Long and 2" Wide hel in place with large grommets.Jack your car at one side and remove the strip on the other . this weather strip covers drains that often get blocked with dirt and crap. and water should come pouring out. Do it soon as otherwise you will have dank smelly carpets and rust problems.

Hello Everyone.
I have a problem with firing the Freelander 2 - 2.2 diesel 2007.
After a long standstill and especially when the engine is cold I need to shoot about 10 seconds before he starts.
I suppose that, as it will get colder its gonna take more time to start.
On the strip after 2 s there is enough fuel pressure. I put up a check valve in the fuel supply and nothing.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? or had a similar problem?
I have changed the " temperature sensor" but nothing happed anyone know how can i solve this problem? Also spargs are brand new and they works perfect, even when i heat up the spargs problem is still the same,
Could this be fuel pump or Crankshaft position sensor?... Read more
checked fuel pressures today on cold start, 480kpa at cranking and 25600KPA at idle and 64000at 2000 rpm. on a 2008 Freelander 2 if these figures give you a guide.
Have you checked the oil pressure and oil pressure switch as Landrovers give a signal to the ECU from the oil pressure switch and if the oil pressure is too low at cranking that may stop it from starting. Saftey device

I'm negotiating to buy a used Hyundai Tucson 2.00 CRTD Limited (56 plate) from a main dealer. Because of my location, coastal/rural with appalling roads, it ticks all the boxes for my present needs and is clearly a straight vehicle in every respect as, at present, it belongs to the wife of one of the directors, so no worries on that score. I am a little concerned, however, about fuel consumption of this model which seems to have been a bone of contention between owners and Hyundai. The official combined mpg is quoted as 39.2 but I have read reports of owners achieving only 22/23mpg even taking into account the fact that the trip computer works in US gallons. Most people seem to achieve around 25/27mpg, still quite a long way from the official figure. To be honest, even if these figures are correct, it won't put me off buying the car as it won't be doing huge mileages and in my view, 39mpg seems unrealistic for quite a big SUV which must have the drag coefficiency of a flying brick but I would be interested to hear the views of any other contributors to this forum who run this model.
Thanks very much. Your very positive comments have set my mind at rest. Will definitely be buying this one if, on Monday when I view it, it is fully as described.

I have seen a few of these with faulty handbrake systems where they have suffered rotten/corroded wiring. You will need to follow the wiring from the handbrake motor, located behind the right rear wheel, where it runs along the back of boot ledge and disappears under the floor where it exits under passenger seat and into passenger floor area below plastic false floor.Just in front of the passenger seat, below the carpet is a small relay and fuse box and a large multi pin connector block.Check this for any water damage.hth

Ohh dear took it to my local garage in Maidstone and yayyy, I put petrol in again!!!!!
