After 3 years trouble-free, the' in-car' heater /air con fan suddenly stopped working. Fan controls on dashboard show symbols and lights on as normal, but fan did not function.

This fault is unusual on the Note but more common on the Nissan Micra model. After testing, the fault was traced to be a 'Fan control module', a small plug-in unit mounted under the dashboard.... Read more

Hi Guys, I’m a proud new owner of a 2010 (10 plate) Peugeot 207 1.4 VTI Sport petrol, with less than 6,000 miles on the clock and I am very happy with it (I like the all the toys that you get with as standard). I have noticed a few things though and being a new 207 owner and never having owned a Peugeot before, I don’t know if they are normal or not, so I hoping that you guys will steer me in the right direction. I’ve noticed a tapping noise coming from the engine, now I don’t know if this is the normal engine noise of the 207 or there is something abnormal. I can just about hear this tapping, while I am stopped at traffic lights for example with the window closed and when I park the car and leave the engine running and get out it’s very noticeable. Also when I start the engine and let it idle for a while I can hear a click noise every so often, when I rev the engine it seems to disappear for a while then it comes back. I’m just wonder what this noise could be? Read more

The tapping noise you hear at tick over may just be the injector solonoids clicking if its faint, and the intermitant click may be the air con pump or EVAP valve.

To be honest if tyou have a noise that concerns you , my advise would be to visit your dealer.

Hi Al,I had the exact same problem. Look under the sills (outside the car - both sides) and you'll find a long plastic strip approx 4Ft Long and 2" Wide hel in place with large grommets.Jack your car at one side and remove the strip on the other . this weather strip covers drains that often get blocked with dirt and crap. and water should come pouring out. Do it soon as otherwise you will have dank smelly carpets and rust problems.

2. Yes this is 33k and is almost 3 years old, but to me condition, mileage and service history is more important than the age of the car....

Hi i have brought my self a 205 gti for a project to do intending for track use and occasional weekend car.

I got this car off my cousin who hadd it standing for about 2 months. So i got it started by replacing the fuel pump real and temp sensor and then onto a trailor and took it home. But what i have now is that it turns over but will not inject any fuel. I have fuel and pressure at the rail and a good spark at the plugs. normally after about 10 mins of fiddleing i can get it going and runs well.... Read more

Hi thanks for the reply

I think i have just found the problem i couldn't get hold of a guage at the moment, so i took of the pressure regulator and tried moving the valve inside which was tight to see if it was stuck. i then re connected it up and boom fired straight up and then idled and reved up perfectly....

Hello Everyone.
I have a problem with firing the Freelander 2 - 2.2 diesel 2007.
After a long standstill and especially when the engine is cold I need to shoot about 10 seconds before he starts.
I suppose that, as it will get colder its gonna take more time to start.
On the strip after 2 s there is enough fuel pressure. I put up a check valve in the fuel supply and nothing.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? or had a similar problem?
I have changed the " temperature sensor" but nothing happed anyone know how can i solve this problem? Also spargs are brand new and they works perfect, even when i heat up the spargs problem is still the same,

Could this be fuel pump or Crankshaft position sensor?... Read more

checked fuel pressures today on cold start, 480kpa at cranking and 25600KPA at idle and 64000at 2000 rpm. on a 2008 Freelander 2 if these figures give you a guide.

Have you checked the oil pressure and oil pressure switch as Landrovers give a signal to the ECU from the oil pressure switch and if the oil pressure is too low at cranking that may stop it from starting. Saftey device
