BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

Practical and stylish, this addition to the 2 Series range brings with it a number of BMW firsts, including front-wheel drive and turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engines. But it’s the 218d diesel model that interests us here, with low CO2 emissions and 68.9mpg economy, and it’s no slouch either, ticking off the 0-62mph sprint in a sprightly 8.9 seconds.

Passengers benefit from a comfortable and luxurious cabin with ample room for five, and luggage capacity is impressive too, with an electric tailgate as standard.
