Just reading the reviews for the updated Fabia, I see the petrol models are now equipped with a petrol particulate filter, as I think all new petrol cars will have to be, if not now then in the future, does this mean that they will suffer the same problems as the diesel equivalents especially if , like me, you just do low mileage’s, Read more
I have the exact same problem on my 09 Kuga tdi 4wd, RAC came to look at it and changed fuse 106 (under passenger footwell), he told me 106 126 and 138 are all to to with the keyless entry. He held the key fob right next to the cap where you would normally insert a key and it started keyless, the strength of the signal from the key has weakened somewhat.
Some errors popped up about central locking and he phoned his auto electrician mate who said its more than likely a module that controls the central locking. It’s booked in with an auto sparky soon so I’ll let you know if this cures it.
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I haven't been able to find any other posts on this topic, but please forgive me if I missed any.... Read more
For an example. A Nissan Micra that was made at Sunderland was very similar to the Japanese spec Nissan March to look at but all the parts were made in a different place. The Sunderland model used parts sourced in Europe the Japanese model used parts sourced in the Far East and the parts in most cases cannot be swapped from one car to another.
Also cars are spec in a different way eg the Japanese models don't have the same rust treatment as cars sold in Northern Europe.
Found this on another forum.

Thanks for that, usually caused by presumably the dealer in this case not greasing the props correctly, though maybe a poorly greased original fitment from the supplier.
Defective from the factory, alas. The 120 was just over a year old when the propshaft was changed....
Hi
I am about to buy a 2010 Corsa 1.2 16V Energy 3 door from the local Vauxhall Dealership. They have just MOT'd it last week and are awaiting a couple of parts for it before I take delivery of it.... Read more
How did I know that? Simple google search of the reg.
In my eyes yes they do but others may feel different.

... I wouldn't want to give the courier my name and address unless I knew my neighbour. There are plenty of people who don't know all their neighbours.
Avant, that's what I implied by 'being willing to accept on behalf'. I don't think I would accept on behalf of someone I didn't know, so decline to accept under those circumstances.
Mahindra have announced they plan to expand out of Italy and Spain in the next 18 months and enter the UK by 2020.
Dacia take note
I don’t expect Suzuki UK nor the importers behind Ssangyong UK to be happy about this

I had it in my mind that the last Mahindra's in the UK would have been earlier than that. Was the Mahindra Jeep still on the go when the Asia Motors Rocsta was on sale here? (i think that would have been '93 or '94). Regarding the driving manners, in the Mahindra's defence it was just a licence built Jeep CJ-3, which dates from around the late 40's, using a (license built) 2.1 Peugeot Diesel, so you wouldn't really expect it to drive with any sort of finesse!.
I had a look on Mahindra's website and they still build something very similar to the Jeep, along with a range of other, more generic looking stuff....
My problem started in May. Engine management light came on. The problem a valve/solenoid in the front exhaust system, this was repaired under warranty.
My understanding is this valve controls the flow of gasses/heat to ensure efficiency of exhaust system and the correct operation of particle filter/Catalyst and DPF.
My problem is that my particle filter/catalyst is now full of soot, I think this could be related to the failure of valve previously mentioned. Nissan obviously think otherwise and states that this is wear and tare and they want to replace it at a cost of £500. Obviously I want it replaced under warranty.
I now want to take this further with Nissan but I need confirmation that my analysis of the problem is correct.
My car is a 2014 T32 1600, with 32000 on the clock.
The particulate filter is NOT BLOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The catalyst is sooted up!!!!! The catalyst sits between the turbo and particulate filter (DPF)...
I have a 1.9 tdi Jetta 2006. I have got it from family member but when driving it home it seemed really sluggish and eventually put on the engine managment light and gave the code "P0299 - Boost Pressure Regulation - Control Range Not Reached"
I have checked for boost leaks from all the intercooling pipes but there is none there and the intercooler looks to be in good condition. I was also advised to check all Vaccuum pipes and they all appear to be in good condition. I noticed 1 was labled from the airbox so maybe another mechanic was working at it before (i did know the car had a boosting problem when I got it)... Read more

Hi,
I'm getting a check injection warning light that only comes on in 4th and 5th gear above 40-45mph. If I go above this in 3rd it doesn't come on. It will then go off after about 20 seconds then come back on a minute or so later. Put it down into 3rd then the problem disappears. Put it into fourth or fifth below 40-45 mph and the problem doesn't occur.... Read more
I had this problem in our 2004 Scenic 1.5DCI and 2004 Megane 1.5DCI and on both occasions it was cured by replacing the fuel filter which was found to be faulty on both cars under warranty.
I don't see it as much of a problem as others do.
Maybe not, but I think it will depend on design, like how far away the PPF is away from the manifold, it relies on hot oxygen to burn the particles, and gather certain Fords have problems with it filling up already with the ECU warning of it but not doing anything about it...
