Hi all

Any Ideas about buying these parts? Front under shuttle padding one piece, Locking wheel nuts ( I have looked on ebay) used key fob for the same car with prices posted to the BB72NU Area.... Read more

I'd replace the locking wheel nuts with standard ones. They're only a couple of quid each from Peugeot.

For the fob, someone recommended Timpsons on the Peugeot forums this morning.

Before anyone can help you we need lots more information. I'm assuming your car is a petrol. Is that correct?

Does it have good compression on all cylinders?
Does it have a good HT spark?
Does the fuel pump run?
Are the fuel injectors switching?

If the answer to any of these is 'no' then that's where to start looking. If they're all good then post back.

Had oil pump and turbo changed couple of years ago was told I had diesel mixing with engine oil and spilling out of dipstick. I assume now this was the cause ? Year later around 50,000 miles same thing still happening Audi told me my injectors have worn and vibrated in the head allowing diesel to mix with oil. Audi fitted new head £4995.seven months and 4000 miles later same thing happens again, now Audi tell me car is not designed for doing short journeys ?or 7000 miles a year which is what we cover ! Vehicle has full Audi service history. Please help. Read more

Good Evening. Many years ago I passed obtained a British Class 2 HGV licence. My career moved away from driving and I have let it expire. It expired around 20 years ago. I would have a few familiarisation lessons as it has been so long, but can anyone advise if I would need to resit a test or is it just a medical I would need to do.

Thankyou Read more

Since you mention 'class 2 HGV', I assume you took the HGV test before the category changes in the 1970's? [Rigid goods vehicle, more than two axles]

You need to look at your driving licence. [card, or green paper one]...

while getting mot, my girlfriend was told a slight leak at water pump. She then noticed blower was taking ages to heat up . I assumed loss of water causing this and this means I'm filling up radiator reservoir each week. I can't see any major puddle under car. Does this sound like the pump causing this? I'm no mechanic but just looking for advice before I take it to garage. Thanks for any help Read more

There's a hose located behind the alternator that's been known to split on these models. It involves removing the front bumper and radiator assembly to get at it. It's not actually as hard as it sounds, but before you do anything get the system pressure tested and locate the leak.

I think, in this case, you are right to walk away.

Cat C and D can be cracking opportunities for a bargain car (I know - I have one - see below), but the person who repaired the car should have no reason to be evasive....
