Hi, i was flashed last night on the A7 heading to Hannover. I was traveling at approximately 86kph but now realise the limit for truck was 60kph and yto use only the inside lane as it was down a gradient. I was flashed in the middle lane whilst overtaking. What is the realistic fine/ points for this? Thanks. Charlie. Read more
Both my rear brake lights do not work when the brake pedal is pressed but the rear high level brake light works ok. I have checked all the fuses and they are ok. I have been told it could be the turn signal switch that is faulty as it is wired through that switch. Is this correct? or if not where could the fault exist. Any help appreciated, thanks Read more
This has happened to me with side lights, brake light and indicator bulbs, so if one fails, expect the other to go as well and change the pair.
Agreed, couple of weeks ago one of the tail light bulbs was out on my tractor unit, i checked the other two in the cluster and they were both blackened, then checked the other side indeed those three were blackened too, renewed all 6....purely out of interest 17 months old 200k kms.
Skoda are nuts not putting this into production it would be a great convertible city car and would give the Fiat 500 and Smart For Two some very serious competition if it were priced right it looks bright and very modern it's a credit to the apprentices at Skoda that it has turned out so well. The blue & white colour scheme is very striking as well, myself I'd rather fancy that green that the Citigo comes in with maybe a darker green, yep I think would do rather nicely. Skoda really should build this car because if they don't you can bet your boots that VW will and charge an inflated price for it Read more

I keep getting letters about mine, but do I really want a main dealer pulling apart the dashboard of my ten-year-old? It's got no rattles, at the moment!
I understand the problem's the passenger air-bag can spit out bits of plastic if it goes off. I'm (nearly) always in the other front seat and it ain't gone off in ten years....
HI

Does anyone know the correct method for setting the computer. Have tried holding in the button on wiper stalk then turning on ignition. Then, once the dials have gone through the test function, pressed the trip reset button on the dash. After a couple of days I get flashing lines where the fuel used is and also on the estimated remaining mileage before refuel. It also gives a reading of 99.9 mpg. Does anyone have any idea. Thanks Read more
This, or equivalent, may be worth a try. Switch on ignition. Press button on end of stalk until spanner + mileage to next service are showing. Press and hold trip meter until display has flashed a number of times and when the service interval you require is showing, release trip meter. Switch off ignition. Service interval is set (hopefully).

I have experienced exactly the same symptoms in my 2005 Audi A4 cabrio automatic. Have never been able to track down the source of the problem. Two new front tyres a few months ago have alleviated the problem, but it is still there faintly. Don't think the problem is engine-related. HTH.
I received a writ yesterday for a personal injuries action being taken against me, claiming £32,000 plus interest and expenses. This apparently related to a minor knock I had in my car nearly 3 years ago. The other party's full claim at the time came to £851 including car hire charges; mine was zero because the damage was so superficial. The 'victim' is now claiming though a 'no win, no fee' solicitor for, amongst other things:
- physical and psychological injury,
- cost of gym membership to assist with his rehabilitation
- private physiotherapy treatment
- to pay for decorators to redecorate his house because he could not do it himself,
-loss of earnings after taking time off work after the accident,
-loss of pension,
-tendering his resignation and not returning to work,
-help and assistance required with daily living tasks from his wife
- etc, etc
I've informed my insurer, who has appointed a solicitor to act on my behalf. Has anyone else on here had any experience of being on the receiving end of such a claim? Any suggestions on what can be done to defend or halt such a sham of a claim would be appreciated.

Really, if he had any serious injuries, he should have said so then, there are people with serious injuries from crashes, other than " It's been 3 years and I feel funny". You're lucky he didn't lose an arm, since 1 million euros seams to be the going rate for a lost arm here:
Good Morning Folks
I have selected a used car - a Seat Ibiza, to buy from a Seat dealer. However, I would also like some extras fitted in such as :
1. Sun roof
2. Sat Nav
3. Blue tooth
3. USB Connections
4, Leather Seats
5. Parking Sensors
6. LED lights.
Do you think I should have these extras fitted from the dealer (and have the warranty in place) or go to a private garage to have the work done?
Any advice greatly appreciated.... Read more
