I saw one of those "The Spy Who Loved Me" Lotus cars parked in my local Lidl last week, except it was red. Can't be many of those left knocking about, what?

Some kind soul opened their car door onto mine and left me with a deep crease in the drivers door of my new Meriva. Dents-Ventura of Leeds came this morning and did a superb job getting rid of the damage. Highly recommended. Read more

If you want to recommend them I think you'll find they are called Ace Dentura. Fair to assume you don't work for them as they'd probably get their company name right if they were after a spot of free advertising.

Finally got there. Why didn't you just mention it in the first place, along with the link. Thanks for letting us know.

Has anyone bought a car from gbcardeals.co.uk.? If so was the service good and, more importantly, did the car arrive and was it what you ordered. They quote good prices (as advertised on this site) but before I commit I'd be reassured if someone hhas good experience of them. Thhanks. Read more

Just for info, the company's registered name is Spectrum Vehicle Contracts, still around, first (and only) set of accounts show they are worth £2.

Sorry, nobody on here can do a "V" code for free.

Ford Main Dealer or there are people on Ebay who say they can do them for a fee.

hi im new to the site,

i have a vectra 2005 2.2 pertol (engine type z22yh)

My problem is i drove the car yesterday and it was fine no problems at all, parked up over night went to go to work the next morning and it wouldnt start straight away like normal, when you go to start it takes a while turning it over then it will fill like its starting and you stop the starter motor and then it takes about 10-15 seconds to get up to idle and then will idle all day long but as soon as you put you foot on the gas (like you would normally to rev) it will just cut out sounds abit like not enough fuel or something, but if you rev it very slowly you can rev it right up to max and hold it at 5000rpm with no problem. but starting is the same evertime but if you jump start it it will start first time. once the car is started and on idle you can drive it by using as little throttle as possible like driving just on idle power, if you use the throttle as you would in a normal car it will just cut out.

There are not lights on the dash but i did put the car of a fault reader and it came up with air flow meter so i had it changed and codes
cleared and re scanned and no fault codes but still have the same problem, I have also changed the spark plugs and taken the throttle body off and cleaned but nothing still the same.

I have run out of ideas and can only think it is a fuel problem.

Can anyone please help me

many thanks matt

Hi, I am new to the forum. I'd appreciate any help so will try to keep it concise. I am considering purchasing a 2004 Alfa Romeo 1.9 JTD, the 8 valve model, manual. The private seller says the temperature gauge does not work and has had it investigated to no avail. The thermostat and sensor have been replaced, problem continues. Apparently there is no overheating and no sign of lower mpg and no other symptoms. The sellersay its been like this for a while and it hasn't affected performance or economy at all so he didn't investigated further. He also says there are no warning lights present on the dash.

I have previously has a Saab 93 with thermostat issues that lead to a head gasket failure in less than a week. So am weary of this 156's issue. I'd be travelling from London to Huddersfield. Is this car a risk or an easy fix? ... Read more

I have recently brought a 2003 ford focus. I have been told that one of the alloy wheels is corroding which resulted in a flat tyre the other week as it wasn't sitting correctly on the wheel.

Initial enquiries suggest its probably easier to get some wheels from another focus but I don't know whether I can just have any wheels or whether they have to be exactly the same as what I already have. They are currently 17inch. Can I get any 17inch or could I even go down to 15?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
