Hi all,
My first post here so be gentle :-) Ok, so my problem is with a renault clio (06 plate). I've had a small issue whereby it stalls when it's idling (only when it's cold), but as soon as its warmed up a little its fine. Then last week the clutch began to slip a little but not all the time. I meant to get it looked at over the weekend but got sidetracked. Now today it judders and is intermittent with power when I'm accelerating (even gently)... Read more

I only just bought this car weeks back and it still needs insuring. Anyway When I got it I had 1 keyring with the car key on, a plastic fob? thing and another key. The guy wasnt sure on the fob but its for something and the other key was for a steering lock. He gave me a seperate key. Last night well MONDAY I lost the main set of keys, they SHOULD be in this room and probably are as I had them when I left the car (unless they fell which I doubt or it'd of been nicked by now). Last night TUE I really needed to quickly enter the car using the spare key so I did and used my arm careful and in the end alam sounds - I must of popped the light on the top too as I pulled the bonnet and was gunna disonnect the battery then it stoped...... (thankfully) atm I have left it but being dark overnight draws attention lucky it's ok now. So a weel ago, I read the owners manual on how to use the alarm and central locking and you turn it one way then the other and all directional lights flash. I tried for hours and no way of doing that. Anyway oppersite the gearbox theres alittle port and the plastic keyfob goes inthere and that alarms the car and you cant start it. Do I have a new alarm/immob system and not std factory? Both keys start the car (pretty sure) they are black but corner is red at the top - theres blue ones too. partmart-breakerimages.s3.amazonaws.com/BreakerIma...8 This is NOT mine but similer when alarmed the clock flashes red but oppersite the gear box so does the light on that port. I've unlocked my car and I hear a beep and I have to be quick to get it into the port to stop the sound. Basically with the car key I had a plastic thing and it's half circle and inside are 2 spokes (Like american household plugs). I looked all over the net and cannot find it...... I looked at the history for alarm replacement. But I did see spark plugs? Could this be it? So does my car have a third party alarm system? Maybe it's broke the factory one so it was replaced?

I wasnt impressed with warrenty direct as they dont cover dpf's! Surely that should be standard now, i would have been willing to pay more to ensure it was covered, as it was from a 900 premium, i recived a refund of about 200, so 700 out of pocket...not impressed at all
I've had two Peugeot RCZ's and I wouldn't touch one again, my first GT 156 broke down and I had to be towed on the back an AA truck 7 times in a year and the leather dashboard sagged, the paint started pealing off the alloy wheels the timing chain broke, the turbo blowed up, the parking sensors stopped working and much more plus it lost 10k after 8 months of ownership my second RCZ was just the same so I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole.
