It'll be fine although It'll probably take 40+ hours to fully charge a big car battery.
Hi,
We have an 06 Mazda 5 1.8 ts2 petrol. In the last couple of weeks this has developed a fault. To start with it happened intermittently when starting from cold, but seems to be getting gradually worse. The engine is running rough when idling, feels like a misfire, and loses power when you try to pull away. If you let the car stand and idle from cold, it almost stalls, then over revs in a 10-20 sec repeating cycle. If you rev up to 2-3000 it runs better but the throttle seems less responsive than usual. It seems to run reasonably when warmed up.
Similar fault happened once or twice last year at a similar time of year but mysteriously disappeared...
Any help diagnosing or things to investigate would be appreciated!

Hi All, Just searched for this problem and now joined the forum for some advice. My car has just been into dealer to have new disks and pads fitted. After leaving dealer and driving home the radio switched itself off and didn't come back on. Then i noticed the mmi system was off and would not come back on. Back it went to dealer. After diagnosis they said it was a control unit that needed replaced (£335) but after replacing the unit it still didn't work. Get a phone call today from Audi saying there is 4 inches of water in car and this has killed two control units. To replace the telephone unit £1294 to replace the other unit £950 to remove and replace carpets £576..... The water may have came in through the pollen filter which they changed at the last service...... Any thoughts? Read more
This is a common problem & VW/ Audi/ Skoda have known about it for too many years,
Here is a link to the briskoda forum with a ' how to' guide....
After the roof leaked, water ran down the wiring loom and into the central locking pump, corroding both the circuit inside the pump and the plug which plugs the wires into it. Does anybody know if you can buy this plug, what it is called and how to fix it?! Thanks Read more
Just got an excellent tip, (and used it) from an insurance broker mate, good even for online, which is how I used it.
Use your favourite comparison website, enter your details, (i used moneysupermarket) get your quote, go to the chosen website with your best quote, VARY your details on that website (excess) and see if it comes up cheaper, mine did for a lower excess! The quote is valid for 30 days so keep checking on the chosen comparison site and those offers actually change every day/. ended up like for like £80 better off on exactly comparable quotes over the past week. Only tried comparrison sites once and what a rip off. Lowest quote by quite a margin was good old Norwich Union at £220 approx. Rang them up direct since I was unsure about one or two of the questions and after a couple of minutes was told the price was actually £160 if I bought direct thus the comparrison site was pocketing £60. Just try the common direct sites now in the month before renewal the check my renewal is competitive.
Brokers were great in the past but for run of the mill cars they are now struggling. One of my cars (classic) is via a broker but when I asked about the everday cars they immediately told me that they would not be able to compete against the direct price.
Hi
I've been told that I need to have the pulley replaced and am amazed at the prices that are being quoted, the latest one being £170+VAT for the part.... Read more
Hi!
I hav put my diagnostic machine on a friends Peugeot 306 for them as the engine management light had come on and they said the car has lost all power, and when you put your foot down to overtake anything nothing happens. The car will, however, tootle around at 60. Anyway, these have been thrown up and I wonder if anyone has ANY idea where to start looking for the REAL problem????... Read more
I would clear all the fault codes as some may be historic ! I would check in tank pump for function.
2nd I would check cam timing to make sure belt hasnt jumped ! this can trigger cam/crank correlation ( cam sensor issue ) and this would also cause low AFM reading as well
Earlier in the week I was on my way home on the M25 section heading towards Heathrow just before the M3 turnoff. Traffic was heavy but flowing at @50 Mph.
I needed to leave via the M3 so as I was in the 2nd lane I started indicating to move across.... Read more
I was indeed. And he was in a P Reg Honda, do you think that may explain it?
Absolutely!...

Absolutely yes, and offer standard sized nuts and bolts in stainless too for other applications in an easy to navigate website with fair postal charges, it's the classic and long term owner who you are your potential customers i daresay, i doubt many owners of white goods car even know they have an exhaust till it falls off.
I liked the old BMC A and B series engines you never had trouble getting the brass manifold bolts off even if you had to hammer an undersized socket on, i hate undoing the down pipe on a modern car knowing there's a good chance of a snapped rusted manifold bolt headache.
