Earlier in the week I was on my way home on the M25 section heading towards Heathrow just before the M3 turnoff. Traffic was heavy but flowing at @50 Mph.

I needed to leave via the M3 so as I was in the 2nd lane I started indicating to move across.

Having indicated for a good 15 sec I decided there was space for me to move into the inner lane and did so. The guy behind me (in a Volvo) went mad, flashing and horning, and continued on up the M25 still doing so.

Have there been some more mental hospital closures in the area recently ?

I am at a complete loss to see how guys like this tick ???

I had a similar experience when attempting to join the M42 by the motorcycle museum a few weeks ago. The guy who didn't want to let me in eventually overtook me and continued to make 'nutter' hand signals to me. By this time I was getting more than a little annoyed with his abuse and would have dearly liked to punch his lights out!

Have you tried the Mr nice guy reaction....really winds the road ragers up. Raise hand in effusive apology and look really apologetic

there i was, doing 49 and a half miles an hour in the correct lane to turn off onto the m3 and some nutter overtakes me then moved over in front of me! How dare he do this to a volvo driver! my pipe nearly fell out of my clenched teeth!

The M25 is a theatre of stress, arrogance, aggression and high blood pressure. Everybody takes everybody elses actions as a personal attack on them but its not just the M25. I was going through a one way system the other day, i wanted to be in the right hand lane so waited until a gap and moved across, bloke in a Honda who was 8 car lengths back at the time beeps at me, waves his arms and then pulls out and switches to the left lane to go in a different direction.

I wanted to be on the right, he wanted to be on the left. We both got what we wanted. Whats his problem?
