These companies will send you loads of carp through the post before finnally giving-up. They buy your info for a small fee from DVLA.

I am leading a campaign to stop DVLA from being able to sell your info to private companies without first obtaining your written permission. As part of the campaign, there is an e-petition HERE. Please feel free to pass it on....

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody could help me as I am about to lose my marbles over this car.

Its a 1.2 2002 clio with nearly 80k on the clock. I bought it second hand from a car dealer 12 months ago. When I purchased it the orange airbag light was illuminated after a few days, as it was under warranty I took it back to the garage and after EIGHT revisits to them the problem was eventually solved.... Hello each, not really a new thread, but in case anyone missed the update on the previous thread. A Blog has been set up to explain the situation about the new proposed legislation about private parking companies. Simply Google 'parkinginjustice.wordpress.com' and it should come up. The Blog has a link to the E Petition set up by JamesEB too and a letter template for those who wish to use it. Let us keep the ball rolling. Cheers Concrete Read more

Hi. I have a '97 Grand Voyager which has developed an immobiliser problem and I've discovered how unhelpful, even obstructive, Chrysler main dealers can be.

Apparently there has been a five-fold increase in the number of parking tickets handed out since 2001. A lot of this is because of CCTV use. The number of people successfully contesting them has risen considerably too.

I have never had a ticket; I always look for somewhere sensible to park and I don't mind walking from a car park f***her away. I have also never seen a traffic warden in Preston but I bet they exist!... Read more

Ha ha excellent. If you get done by a warden (seriously, who has an "lightbulb moment" and says, "I know, I'll be a traffic warden! That's a canny job like!"???) then shout at him the following:

It must be great being a traffic warden. WELL IT'S BETTER THAN WALKING THE STREETS ALL deleted DAY!!!!

My car has suffered air-con failure. I tried to get it reg-assed at my friendly local independent. There's a tiny leak so he wasn't able to help. His parting shot was "watch the main dealer stone-chip damage scam".

Pump failure very common, these do not suffer stone chips though !

It wouldnt suprise me if they change the pump under warranty but fit a condensor and charge you for stone damage ! that way they double their money !...
