Hi. I have a '97 Grand Voyager which has developed an immobiliser problem and I've discovered how unhelpful, even obstructive, Chrysler main dealers can be.
I've had a few occasions when the immobliser kicked in but it seemed to self correct after being left.
This time the fault is permanent and I'm stuck without a vehicle. A friendly mechanic has run a diagnostics check and it's definitely the immobiliser. The check shows no faults. The car starts but there's no gears, or gear display lights and it cuts out after 6 seconds.
A quick check on your website has led me to the 21 pin wiring problems under the heater panel.
The mechanic is returning, bless him, so I thought I'd ask where he'd find this panel, although he probably knows, and also I'd be really grateful for the part number for the repair kit so that we can order from Chrysler .
I can't afford the amount Chrysler want to have the vehicle in for repair, so I'm hoping you can help me or it will mean scrapping a perfectly good car.
