Hey guys i have just bought a nissan 350z from a car dealer, the engine light came on, the CD player didnt work a slow puncture, side ligh was out and missing an arial, i fixed the tyre the side light and bought a replacement arial (trust me i am not moaning about these). I rang him and told his about the enigen light he then told me to bring it in. I took it to Quick fit to see what was worng with it, and if it was simple get it fixed.Quick fit told me that the middle CAT is faulty, (what does this mean to some one with no car experience). I then took the car back to Chester to be looked at. He had the car the weekend and he said is was all sorted except the CD player which when i was back next he will send it off to be looked at. FRIDAY 28 JAN till SUNDAY 30 JAN-... Read more
The car is not up to standard and you almost certainly have grounds to get it fixed at the dealer's expense.
I can do a free assessment as to prospects for success. We almost always deal with these cases on a no-win-no-fee basis where the fee is fixed so you know what you are paying from the outset. You will noit get a bill from us unless we reach an agreed outcome....

i recently bought my peugeot 206 cc quite happy with it and all its features but am scared something is wrong with my breaks as it does not respond when depressed until fully depressed. it is managable but i dont know what is wrong any suggestions people..i have not checked the fluid level though do you think it might be the problem? This is a safety issue and you have not even checked the fluid level. I suggest you take this car back to a garage as just topping the fluid up will not help. If the system has run low and air has got in then the system needs to be bled and tested. Regards Peter
Hello,
Does anybody know whether the leather seats from a 2002 Skoda Superb would fit a 2000 Volkswagen Passat (B5 model)?... Read more
A few weeks ago the car started cutting out if I didn't keep my foot on the throttle. Put it in for a service and the guy ran some tests and found that there was no signaloutput from the ECU to cylinder 1, so in effect it is only firing on 3 cylinders.
I've been told that it is possible to jump the signal from cylinder 3.... Read more
Having read previous comments I intend to replace the run flats with conventional tyres when they are worn. The current ones have done 25000 miles. Is there any reason why this could not be done in pairs provided they are on the same axle? and where is the best place to purchase a space saver spare wheel? Read more
Just acquired a 2007 Tucson 2.00 CRDT Limited on a 56 plate. Question one. It has come with a nearly new set of Nexen CP641 tyres. I believe the originals were Khumos. Nexen aren't a budget tyre but they're not up there with the best and the main reason I've gone for a 4x4 is to make life easier if we have another winter like the last two, so it's important that the tyres perform reasonably in slippery conditions. Has anyone any experience of these tyres in winter conditions? Question two. Does anyone know if this model incorporates ESP as there is no control for it or is fitted and permanently active with no manual override as in my wife's Vectra. The handbook doesn't help. It does have TCS which can be manually controlled if that's of any relevance. Any advice gratefully received and thanks. Read more
I have just topped the tank of my 1.4HDI C3 and noticed that fuel is spilling from underneath the car. OK it was brimmed, but not overflowing. After a few miles the leak has appeared to stop. Anyone know if there is a relief valve, or some other device to vent fuel from the tank? I have looked under the back seat at the fuel pump and that is dry, so no leaks there.

Hi,
You will probably find the linkage on the back of the drivers door lock is worn and causing a type of rebound back to the locking position. Take the door pad off and see if its loose/ floppy. You may need to invest in some new linkage....
