No real big deal but a bit of an odd one
I have two corsa Bs, an S reg 1.4 and a P reg 1,2, one for each of my kids. Both of which seem to have developed the exact same minor niggly fault which is that ALL of the lights in the centre console (heating control etc) have stopped working... Read more

Hi All. Due to collect a new 1.6l auto soon - what advice do you suggest for running this in (esp. given that we won't have much control over gear changes etc.)?
With thanks in advance. Read more
To the best of my knowledge, neither have I met TeeCee, nor do I know them, but I like what they say.
Let's hope we never have to discuss cat food!
Hi there, I bought a car last Tuesday it is a N Reg honda prelude, there was 2 ads on the internet and both ads said this car had a V-Tech engine. I went to look at the car which wasa good 70 miles away from my house. I liked the car and was happy with the condition of it so i purchased it for £700 and drove it home. On friday i took it to my frined who is a mechanic to make sure it was all save and road worthy and he told me that the engine was not a v-tech engine at all, and is just a 2.2i. If i had known this i would not of even gone to see the car.
I contacted the Man i bought the car off saying I owuld like to bring the car back as It is not the car i thought i was buying and he is just putting me off. Can i take him to a small claims court to get my money back. I do not want the car as it is not the car I had saved my hard earned cash for. I feel totally ripped off i have since found a seller that has the exact car I want which i thought I was buying with this car. But can not purchase it till I get my money back.... Read more
VTEC motors are particularly hard to kill. If you want a VTEC engined Honda then you're gonna be a bit dissapointed by a non-VTEC jobbie. I wouldn't want a 2.0 or a 2.3 Prelude.
I need to think about doing something to occupy my days and being as the motor trade don't like recruiting seriously experinced people has anyone ever experinced these people or is their a catch ? Sounds too good to be true so I guess it is ?
Injection Doc, why don't you send me your CV and I will see if I can suggest something that might suit you better? asklucy@honestjohn.co.uk

Hi all.
Of the five larger petrol V6 engines Audi offered for the Series 2 A6 (the 2.8 litre 30-valve V6, the 2.7 litre 30 valve turbo V6 (also found in the B5 platform S4), a 4.2 litre 40-valve V8, and later, a new 3.0 litre 30-valve V6 to replace the 2.8 and an updated version of the 2.7's turbo), do any of them have reliability problems? Which one is the best value these days do you think? ... Read more
They are pretty well built. This friend's one still felt very solid inside towards the end of the time he had it. I hope your one lasts as well as his.

Im getting vibration, felt through the steering when the engine is under load, esp at higher speeds, uphill for example, ( between 2800-3200 rpm ) and at low speeds from idle to about 1400 rpm. Its not gear specific although is most noticable in 3rd at low speed and 4th/5th 45-60 mph. It smooths out above 60.... Read more
Ah funny you say that. I booked it in at Suzuki dealer today and the workshop manager was there. First thing he said was after id described the symptoms was ' If its something like the coil...'.
Seems he had the same thought which makes me think it could be a good direction to go in....

No real common cause on these apart from the fact that all the centre panel lights around the heater controls are on all the time with ignition, rather than side lights.Probably find all the bulbs blown (3 if I recall)and a real fiddle to access and change.hth
