Bit of a long shot this. Need new battery for my Accord Tourer (2003) - bought a Bosch from Costco tonight - book did not show an entry for the tourer so took a standard Accord one. This does not fit in the space (too big) - don't suppose anyone knows which battery I need? Would prefer to get a Bosch as have been happy with them in past. Done some searching on net and no site seems to show the Tourer, just the old Aerodecks.

the car fills with water on the drivers side both front and rear in heavy rain. you do not have to drive the car for it to fill with water. it lets in so much water that the footwells have puddles in them. any ideas what is wrong? Read more
I have got a X reg Astra estate which is letting in water into the drivers side front well.
I have tried a water hose over the doors and windscreen water drains away ok no leaks on the interior, the only thing I did notice was water was draining down the centre windscreen wiper shaft but not on the outer one should this happen?
I have spoken to other people two have said there problem was the windscreen seal bodywork was rusty and was letting water in the other said the seal had gone.
Hi,
Do you guys know of any places around wolverhampton, who could refurbish my faulty fuel pump...........or even test it.
Sigh! Another blind person who missed the prompt asking for year and engine details in the subject header. Thank heaven I had time for the forum search instead of pressing the delete button! Read more
Hi - my 306 driver's door leaks water into the footwell. I think its coming in at the bottom of the door - the rubber sealing strip gets filled with rainwater, and then I think it comes in from there. Anybody had this problem before, and know of a solution?
Thank you!

I know it has been raining, but the car has been largely parked on my driveway, and not driven through any floods,
at the moment when accelerating or braking you can hear a large amount of water sloshing around I think either in the passenger door or in the sills under the door passenger side.
Ideas anyone?

Is it normal for a turbo to whistle more in the colder weather? I have noticed it's definitely noisier recently, like a feint camping kettle sort of noise. The oil level is correct and within the 18000 mile oil change interval. Read more
Wifey took it in today and it was a small split in an air hose. Intercooler hose or something she said. Anyway normal service is resumed, engine is back to normal refinement and seems much more lively. I suspect it had been split for a while but just getting progressively worse until I noticed it. I had forgotten how punchy this engine can be, it's one of my favorite diesels.
It's due its 36000 mile service in about a month so the oil will be changed then. We plan to trade it in soon as we want either a Modus or new Clio next.
Thanks for the help

Was there on my Zetec 2004 TDCI
Hi all, hope someone maybe able to help. My wife's 1600 Ghia, 2001, has developed a very faint whistling noise which sounds like its coming from engine area....it is very quiet and can normally only be heard whilst the car is standing ticking over, but occasionally it can be heard whilst driving if windows are open and a quiet road etc. Not affetcting performance, consumption, handling or anything...just a bit annoying and no idea what it is. thanks in advance for any help.
Regards, Graeme.

does it increas when reved
We often laugh at today`s youth with those `dustbin` exhausts and front `splitters` being ripped off by road humps, but what about your own past?
I`m almost sure I stuck some of those fake bullet holes on something long ago....
Bet that would go down well now, in certain parts of Manchester and London...
Wonder how modern plod would react to that? ;)

Why didn't you say you had
just driven under a tree containing a pair of Siamese-twin acrobats with the squits or
something like that?
You obviously had never met a woman quite like Eileen Jones, then? A delightful lady, nevertheless, but deceased now, of course.
I expect I just gulped hard and my face probably reddened with embarrassment upon realising how boy-racer it must have looked and especially considering what a sober-sides I was in those days, wearing grey flannel trousers, black shoes and spectacles.
I had my car serviced 2 weeks ago at a Vauxhall dealer. Since that time the engine management light (orange car symbol with a spanner through it on the dials) has come on intermittently over and over again. The manual says its to do with the engine immobiliser if it is intermittent in this way, but I want to get it checked out for sure.
I called VX today and they said that 'during the service, nothing is touched on the ECU, electrics or immobiliser and that to have it diagnosed will cost 65 quid, the minimum for 1 hours labour.
While the car was in for service, I had the recalls done for the engine wiring harness and the ABS system too. They also wanted to charge me 65 quid to look at an oil leak in the same place they repaired a leak under warranty (bad filter / seal fitting). The 12 month warranty on the repair ran out 3 days before the leak started again. Even though it was exactly the same spot and it was only 3 days outside the original repair warranty, they still wanted to charge me for it until I rang VX customer service and questioned it.
This VX dealer is the same one that wanted to charge me for a cambelt replacement under the '40,000 mile rule', until I produced a note from VX Customer Service to say that it was a 60,000 replacement, revised from 100,000 for diesels.
I've driven Vauxhalls or Opel (long time in Germany) for the last 12 years and this is the worst experience I have ever had from any dealer. What else can I do to get the ECU checked without having to resort to Vauxhall??? Read more
So they did the engine loom recall without touching anything on the electrics - that was a good trick!
You need a better garage; almost all can now get codes read, so try a local well-recommended one.
Went to Honda in the end - reasonably good value surprisingly (and, yes, I know the last Honda one didn't last as long as some!)
