1996 - leaky door - where's it coming in?! - jeremyb
Hi - my 306 driver's door leaks water into the footwell. I think its coming in at the bottom of the door - the rubber sealing strip gets filled with rainwater, and then I think it comes in from there. Anybody had this problem before, and know of a solution?

Thank you!

Could be that if the door panel has ever been off, it hasn't been resealed properly. The water drips off the bottom of the window onto the inside door skin and if all the holes have not been properly sealed, will run down the inside of the door panel.

as peter said the weather seal behind the door card could be missing, the sunroof drains could be blocked, or the more likely is the door rubber has perished. if you look at the rubber in the bottom of the door you will see a couple of holes in it, if you squeeze them you'll probably find there soaked inside, if so then it's either a new seal or you can push a sharp object through the hole and out on the door side thus making a bigger drain hole which normally solves the problem

The plastic waterproof membrane behind the door card has a split/hole.It is made up of 2 or 3 different pieces. Can be bought from Peugeot around £20 for the lot.hth
