Apparently over three thousand people have been allowed to keep their licences after accruing 12 points due to personal circumstances...loss of job being one of them. I suppose you can take the 12 points and banned for everyone or allow some people to carry on as it would make a mess of their lives. I hope the powers that be know what they are doing. Read more

I've had my emissions recall done last July & had the engine management light come on, two faults logged. Had the throttle body replaced under goodwill & paid for the intake manifold replacement. Also the car is producing a burnt ceramic smell only starting from cold when the outside temperture is below 4C. Has anyone else had this. Been wondering if there is a problem with the DPF. Smell was also there before the car went in for the recent repairs.
Is your car fitted with an auxilliary cabin heating system? Works from the diesel fuel .Usually cuts in automatically when ambient temps are very low.

I am sure the percentage of vehicles fiited with the switch is much higher for trucks doing international haulage. Their story will be that adblue is only needed in the EU and once over the border they are allowed to switch the system off. A setup costs about €1,000 from what is advertised on the web.

I note that the latest Audi RS5 is quoted by HJ as having "Peak power is 450PS and peak torque is 600Nm and performance is strong – 0-62mph takes just 3.9 seconds, with top speed limited to 155mph. If you like extra top speed, Audi will lift the limiter to 174mph."
This is an improvement over the previous version of this particular model.... Read more
