So 3 year old A6 allroad BiTurbo will be available from Audi approved dealer for around 25K which is approximately 50% of its original value. With 25K you could buy a new estate or SUV like tiguan. However it cannot match the perfomance of BiTurbo and the comfort of air supension in Alltrack.

Hi,
I'm new here, but I need your help... I'm trying to find replacement headlights and fog lights for our beloved Mitsubishi Estate (2002). We've tried Ebay, including the US site. Can anyone recommend somewhere else we can try - we live in Notts. Hubby is disabled and has health issues, so driving round scrap merchants can be tricky (especially at this time of year). We also check Facebook groups regularly.... Read more
Mitsubishi OE new parts like this are ridiculously priced, i have the T shirt because we owned a 54 plate Outlander 1 for a while, the headlights lenses on that didn't just discolour they crazed and the crazing was deep in the lens, nothing to be done with them, very very short supply used because all the used examples were going the same way or worse.
I suspect even less chance of proper aftermarket lamp units for a Galant, especially with left dip....
As part of its “Climate Plan” the French government has launched a scrappage scheme for older vehicles to encourage motorists to trade up to newer cleaner replacements.
Your old car (or van) must have been registered before 1997 for petrol vehicles and before 2001 for diesel vehicles … so if introduced in UK probably wouldn’t take too many BR readers' cars off the road!
The trade-in vehicle must be registered in France, and have been owned for at least one year. The amount you might be paid varies depending on the household’s financial situation, with up to €1,000 available for taxed households and €2,000 for those that do not pay tax … not an irresistible incentive I imagine.
This was what I found interesting … ”The money received through the scheme must then be used to buy or rent a new or recently-second-hand electric vehicle, or one using petrol or diesel, which emits less than 130g CO²/km, classified as Crit’air 1 or 2”... Read more
At least they seem to be planning to genuinely scrap the older vehicles.
Some of the manufacturers "scrappage schemes" in the UK seem to be more a sales gimmick than a serious effort to address the issue - BMW for instance don't seem to be making any commitment to take all the traded in cars off the road rather than dispose of them to the second-hand market.
Just curious
I still own a 2002 VW Polo 1.4 TDI PD that I bought when new and wondered which year they stopped fitting the 1.4 TDI PD engines.... Read more
I cannot answer your questions because the car has done so few miles (just under 20,000) and the only thing that has been renewed are the 2 broken front coil springs found on 2 seperate MOTs. If you buy a TDI PD engined car be aware the CAMBELT needs replacing every 4 years or 40,000 mile whichever soonest, you should check when it was last done Having said that my Polo is due a new cambelt later this year if it hadn't been in such good condition I may have risked not having it done.
Before anyone questions why a diesel when doing so few miles, it was bought because we use to go to my sisters regulary (Sheffield to Scarborough) and at the time my wife suffered fron arthritis, whithin a year she could not get in the car, I kept the car and now it is worth far more to me now than what I could sell it for....
I have new wiper blades on but when they swipe upwards its fine. When they swipe down it leaves a mist which you can hardly see out of when it's dark
When the windscreen wipers are on intermitent as above. when they mist up on the swipe down, as soon as it is inbetween wipes the screen clears really fast.... Read more

I don't understand why anyone is suggesting rejecting it under consumer rights if the Approved Audi Scheme has a 30-day return guarentee anyway. Just return it under that if the OP wants to - much less hassle.
If you go the Consumer Rights cul-de-sac from the off they might simply come back and so no, the car works, it is fit for purpose and Audi Roadside have said it is OK to drive and the buyer should be reasonable and let them fix a noise issue. Then you're at deadlock and it could take months to sort....
