Recently bought a MR2 but won't be using it untill April/May, was thinking of buying a car cover for it but which one to get, prices seem to start at £20 and go all the way up to £150. Anyone with advice? Read more

I think it depends on your financial situation. For me, the cost of the finance repayment did relatively little to my mortgage position as I am maxxed on LTV % and therefore my income could get more of a mortgage maximum than I could get a deposit together for, or indeed need....

As part of its “Climate Plan” the French government has launched a scrappage scheme for older vehicles to encourage motorists to trade up to newer cleaner replacements.
Your old car or van must have been registered before 1997 for petrol vehicles, and before 2001 for diesel vehicles … so probably not taking too many BR readers' cars off the road
The vehicle you trade in must be registered in France, and have been owned by you for at least one year. The amount you might be paid varies depending on the household’s financial situation, with up to €1,000 available for taxed households and €2,000 for those that do not pay tax … not an irresistible incentive I imagine.

I bought a cheap one once, waste of money might as well have have used bin liners, caused severe condensation an the start of mould inside the car.
