The only time you should buy a cat D is if it's an older low value car that's been written off by a minor bump. A sub £2k car could be written off by a damaged bumper but a newer and much more valuable car such as a Tiguan will have been involved in a major impact in order to have been written off. I wouldn't touch it and I certainly wouldn't put my family in one. Either spend more and buy a good one or ease your ambitions down to a level you can afford. I've seen some very poorly repaired Cat D's in my time, in fact it's rare to find a properly repaired example.

Agree totally...why take the risk.?...having spent some years in the trade (MG/Rover/Kia) I have, like Slo76, seen some very iffy Cat D examples....

I do not know how people manage to drive around the M25 or indeed many areas of outer London on a daily basis it must be soul destroying. Would not even consider living in that area for any amount of money.

People do live there.... for employment and money because there is no choice....

If they scrap tolls on the Dartford Crossing, I wonder what will happen to balances in DartCharge accounts especially when the minimum you can add to an account is £10.

The problem is a major fuel leak.

If I start the car from cold and look underneath - no leak. Drive to the shop and back - no leak. Drive around afternoon on low revs - no leak

Get her on the dual carriageway properly warmed up - with some RPM and a slight hill, the 'teapot' ( malfunction Indicator ) lights up on the dash. If I persist with the light on, she cuts out, dripping with fuel (this has happened 3 times, in the 2 weeks I have owned the little darling). But then restarts without any difficulty.

If I quickly back off throttle so light goes out, she does not cut out, but I then pulled into layby with engine running - LOADS of fuel dripping from 3 / 4 places. These places are in the approximate area of 'somewhere below the fuel filter'

I will continue to investigate when / what triggers the leaking etc, but if anyone recognises the symptoms, you could save me a lot of trouble.

Thanks for reading.

Stop using it - NOW.

Basically, every time you have your fuel leak, you leave what is a patch of oil (it's called diesel OIL) on the road. Perfectly located for motorcyclists or other cars to skid on....

Hi everyone, I have what seems to be a common problem which is my radiator fans won't stop running, slowly, (both of them) even with the ignition key off and the engine cold and air-con off.

No relay under the battery means this must be the later version with the fan speed controller built into the left motor( same as Golf 5).There is diagnostic facility to check system operation.

My venga went in to be service at kia dealership and two days after that i had to use the locking wheel nut key.

Found it was damaged and was unable to use it. I then visited the dealer to discuss this due but to the fact did not have the code for the key. They want to charge £190.00 to remove the wheel nuts and supply new nuts and key. I was not happy as they supply the car only a year ago and did not supply any code. .I was surpised they did not keep a record of code when they supply the car.I left as i was not paying for what should just a key.... The brake pads aren't absolutely critical to get them done this instant - but yes, within the next month or 2. The last thing you want is for pads to completely wear out - then you start getting metal-on-metal wear, and the discs would then be knackered in very short order.

If you get the brake fluid done at the same time, then it SHOULD be cheaper than getting it done separately. ...
