They don't send forms out, y'know the ones where you explain in writing how the accident happened and draw a sketch. Now it's all done over the telephone verbally where the advisor makes a judgment based on your explaination and advises if you have a chance of a no fault claim or not.. Bad idea. There are problems here. Judgment is dependent on how well the advisor was listening and the articulation of the their customer. Whereas filling in a form you have time to get the facts straight in your head word it precisely with the right choice of words that best describe the accident.
Why they have changed the time honoured method of making a claim baffles me as my time with the advisor took about half an hour of which I had to explain it twice to her as she was getting the wrong impression. I can't see how it's cost effective..... Read more

Dropped off Niece at Heathrow and noticed that T 3 drop off zone is now forbidden to pick up. You MUST go into the car park and pay, applies to Other terminals now. So £6 minimum for the "privilege" of collecting someone from the airport.

I don't believe that easyjet currently fly to Seoul from Luton otherwise my lad would have 'sussed it'!
However, the original post is of interest to me because I've been guilty of doing just that in the past – i.e. collecting my boy from the departures set-down bay rather than arrivals pick-up points....
I was driving around the speed of 30 mph when I went over the pothole which my car just dipped slightly and it made little thump sound but the ride was quite rough when I went over it. I have had the car for 5 months purchased from my local main dealer and from day one it has had an internittent issue with rough idling/uneven tickover which when crawling in traffic results in the car lurching/kangarooing. Once you increse the revs it clears. On purchase the car had done 36K miles, currently on 50K

Hi, I purchased TT a few months ago and within first week thought I could hear a slight rattle type noise. The garage said they couldn't identify anything.
In the last couple of months I have had an expensive performance decat exhaust fit and remap! I've now noticed the noise has started to get a bit louder!
Will any warranty I had be void because of all the modifications I have done? Read more
warranty - yes, voided.
decat? do you mean the cat has been removed completely or the exhaust has a new 100 or 200 cell cat? the latter will still pass euroIV requirements, but complete removal will almost certainly yield an MoT failure on emissions.
Regarding the auxilliary belt and the pulleys it drives. There are four pulleys , the crank, the alternator, the water pump and the air con. My question what drives the power steering? Just curious. Read more

Hi,
I have 4 kids and I'm looking for a 6+ seater. I really don't like the way most cars have the seats in sets of two with the rear two seat pretty much in the boot.... Read more
Always fancied one of these as they are ideal for a family with one child as the whole family can sit alongside each other.
The reason they are so reliable is that they are japanese built unlike the Auris (UK) and Yaris (France) which use some locally sourced components....
Perhaps they have come to an agreement among themselves to declare 'shared fault' on minor scrapes that way they save admin costs and wrap the claim up in minutes. I sense corruption.
