Bmw 3 series was introduced in 1975,how old is this one?
Can anyone tell me why the air filter housing is getting engine oil inside it on the engine side of the filter.The car has only done 45375miles ,and only serviced by honda cardiff.. I have taken the car back to honda with a high pitched noise coming from the turbo only to be told they all do that.(the noise i mean), i only discovered the oil when going to change the air filter today. Could there be a problem with turbo oil seals, or engine breathers being at fault.Any advice would be welcome as i predict i will have a fight in my hands to get honda to admit to a fault.I would like to get it sorted as there are only 4 months left on the warranty.And would struggle to find the money to replace something like a turbo which would no dought cost a fortune. I have a problem with my fiesta it's over heating and pressurising I've changed the thermostat flushed all the pipes, heater matrix, radiator but to no avail. All hoses are very hot apart from botton hose which is cold not sure if head gasket has gone as showing none of the signs !!!!! Please could you help me as it's doing my head in Thanx. Read more
Could be a problem with the heater control valve.has this been replaced recently?
My parents have been living in there bungalow for approx. 2 years. I have a small building business. There existing garage was dilapidated so I am going to build them a new one. The old man who lived there before my parents was by neighbouring reports suffering from dementia. The boundary line is shared to the right hand side with two neighbours, both have dug up sections of the boundary hedge and erected fencing on my parents land within the last 5 years by there admission. The neighbour directly to the right have reluctantly relinquished , However the neighbour to there back garden is the ex-chief constable of sussex . He visited my parents and told them that there was nothing they could do about the fence and if they touched it he would cause them trouble in a round about way. The very next day my brother (who lives with my parents ) was pulled over by the police feet from the driveway. He also stated to my father that the oak tree (that used to be in the old mans garden but is now is in his ) he bought from the old man for £50. I would really appreciate some feed back on this as my parents do not have the money to go through the courts. It is my understanding that one can obtain a copy of a neighbour`s deeds if their property changed hands within a certain time scale.If the purchase was before that cut-off date then obtaining that info wont be possible without involving due legal process.
I have some bigoted and awkward neighbours who are averse to certain groups of people(aren`t we all?).It will be my pleasure to sell this property to one of that group ....there`s even an adjoining field the new occupant/s can utilise:)...
I am looking buying a newish car - my short list is Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris and Ford Fiesta 1.0T
I can't help thinking the Fiesta ticks more boxes, however my over-riding concern is log term reliability, and I'm unsure how good new 1.0T engines from Ford will be over the long term. Long term to me is 8-10 years with lots of short stop journies. When it comes to quality and Customer Service I have found that Ford are OK only when compared to Honda and Toyota... Read more
Ford must be keen to shift some 1.0 turbos, drive the deal are offering £5,000 off a new Focus with that engine.

When I leave my car for two weeks it just won't start. Battery is fine but it takes about five minutes before the car splutters into life. This has happened twice. All the time the car is driven regularly I have no problems. Any ideas? Read more

Is there a rubber priming bulb? If there is, give it a few squeezes to bring the fuel up to the filter. If there isn't a priming bulb - fit one! It makes faulting fuel problems so much easier, and indispensible when changing a fuel filter.
