Do they sell kitchens too?

Although I know I'm not part of the toyota love-in that goes on here sometimes, I notice they are now 17th in the top manfacturers according to the Auto Express survey. Perhaps like VW, the halo is starting to slip a bit and I'm not the only one who found their customer service non existent?

I'm not sure what manfacturer to try next - I think BMW and Merc are one of the few I haven't tried yet! Read more

Best thing to do is itemise your own priorities from the results and create your own list.

I want reliability, good performance, and good handling. I'm not interested in whether someone doesn't like his dealer, or their service chargers, as mine may be completely different.

Worst Kitchens ever.

I had one but the wheel fell off at 100mph while I was yodelling the star spangled banner and drinking a can of pure O2, whilst simultaneously wearing a thong Bikini under a Tiger Onesey. I remember saying to Ethel "Thats the last Archbishop of Canterbury's inauguration ceremony that I go to"....

Once again, I'm down to one headlamp on my 06 model Legacy. Changing the bulb is a difficult wrestling match.
Anyone know of a make or type of bulb that lasts?

My automatic "i" has done 34,000 miles, it has a full Mitsubishi service history and I have reviewed it for HJ. It has just developed a disconcerting fault when driving from 'cold' and I would appreciate some advice before entrusting it to our local (not particularly good and expensive) dealer. For the first couple of miles it will do as follows. Drives off OK but then you will find the car does not accelerate - no matter how much you depress the 'throttle' pedal. Then it will suddenly 'surge' and leap away. If you keep a relatively constant throttle it will do all this on it's own with no further throttle input. Going slowly, leaping away and slowing again. Once 'warmed' up (couple of miles or so) it's fine and remains so throughout the day. It has never been used on really short journeys always at least 5 or 6 miles and more likely 30-60 miles. Hello, Any advice here would be great.

I have just bought a car (cash) from a private seller on ebay. It has a valid MOT for a year which I confirmed on the VOSA website. However I noticed on the MOT history check, a week before it was issued this MOT it had failed a previous test on a number of issues. After driving the car home it is apparent that these faults were never fixed! ... Read more

My brother in law has bought several cars on Ebay and been very happy with the purchases. They have been good value and only required normal maintenance. There are rogues in any form of car buying. Something different was reasonably expected. The OP has been unfortunate.

You can buy a decent car on Ebay and you can buy a lemon anywhere.

I bought a car in October last year through a third party and the owner did not pass on the documents. This fact then slipped my mind until I received an unpaid toll notice from the M50 in Ireland for 4 unpaid tolls. I received this through the third party and paid £21.04 immediately on 24th March this year. Yesterday I was handed a further notice for the same tolls in the sum of £164.01, dated 15/03/14. 9 days BEFORE I paid the fine. Who is liable for this? The owner has obviously not informed DVLA of the sale, I am still waiting for V5 and all correspondence is going to the previous owner's address, increasing the fines due to non-action. I realise that I should have been more vigilant and pursued the change of keeper aspect but who is actually in the wrong, legally? Read more

There is an obligation, not only on the new keeper, but also the old keeper, to forthwith notify DVLA of the change of ownership. It is not stipluated at law as to how this is done so a letter will suffice. IT looks as if the old owner has done this and named you as the new owner.

You haven't done so -offence....
