Hi all,

I purchased the above car from a dealer forecourt on the 1st of March 2014. I feel I paid full retail money for the car at £4300.00.
On first inspection the car had a few faults that the dealer promised to rectify. They were the following. ... Read more
Thank you for this, you last sentence sums up my problem with this dealer, I think if they treated me fairly I would have sorted some of the issues out with out complaint but now I feel that they just are just taking the P~~~ and now I feel I will go to court just of of principal win or lose what ever the cost.
I think that because no one stands up to dealers like this is why they can still get away with poor service....
Hi HJ,
can you help with a radio code for my fiesta... Read more

have a budget of 10,000 and looking to buy the old shape but new zafira for 10,600. it will have vauxhall lifetime warrantee, is this a deal deal or should i be looking at a used car of better made? Read more
I assume you're looking at the 1.6vvti Exclusiv model? I bought one last year for £10k (although I got a further £300 off with a voucher from Vauxhall)
It was ok, but the 1.6 is slow, and pretty thirsty - I got around 32mpg, with a best of 36. I would have accepted that if it was nippy but it wasn't so I swapped it! Try before you buy!
Any idea what the original tyres would have been on a Fiesta 1.4 Zetec 1.4 Petrol. Daughter is interested in one with 15k miles on the clock. It has part worn Hankooks on the back and well worn odd tyres on the front. At 15k it doesn't feel right. Any suggested explanations? Read more
Ok, thanks all for the suggestions.
Hi,
We recently bought a Ford Fiesta and made the mistake of leaving the lights on, running the battery flat and now need the radio code. We don't have the audio manual to find the code. The serial number is M191536. Does anyone know the radio code please? Read more
Worked perfectly!!! Thank you so much:)

If he wants a fake passport I know a guy in Woolwich market that cpuld get him one lol ;-)
I have recently bought an 07 plate Focus C-max 1.6TDCI (90). Car is in excellent condition with full history and only 37K on clock.
Car runs well , except for a bit of hesitation. The hesitation only seems to occur when under load , eg going up hill , and only when you put your foot to the floor in 3rd or 4th gear. You can feel the car holding back a bit between 2000 and 2500 revs , and it sort of "pulses". Feels like it may be a fuel issue , or maybe air flow?
It is the 90bhp engine, so no DPF to consider. It has been back to the dealer (Evans Halshaw) , and they replaced the fuel filter and cleaned out the EGR, but the problem still persists. The turbo appears to be in excellent condition. No play in the shaft , just a bit of carbon deposit in the fins , but no more than I would expect. No abnormal smoke from exhaust , and no unusual noises that I can hear. They have suggested it might need a software update from Ford. They will get it done under warranty , but my local Ford dealer can't get it in for another 2 weeks.
Just wondered if anyone on here had any ideas?
Any help , or advise would be appreciated.
Can't help specifically, but there's a lot of info on here re 1.6 tdci engine problems.
Have a search, it might be of use, lots of early turbo failure problems is one of them if I remember
The engine light comes on and stays on. I have been told the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. Will someone please advise how much I might be expected to pay for the supply and fitting? What sort of guarantee can be expected? Many thanks. Read more
Many thanks. I'm in Dublin. One garage quoted me €400 approx to supply and fit but when I checked with main VW agency they told me the converter alone costs €1100 I only bought the car recently and notified the fault immediately.

Same people as Autonational Rescue, Avant, which is a more conventional cover rather than the pay and claim that is AutoAid. Auto Aid is OK provided you have the means to pay the recovery agent straight away (ie a credit available) and am happy to wait a few days to receive your money back. You can arrange your own recoverer or allow them to send theirs - your choice. My first experience with them was in 1984 when my first brand new car, a Mk1 Golf Formel E (remember them?) came detached from it's gear stick...literally. Since then I've used them to pull me from a 3 feet deep ford (yes, silly me) and there must have been other occasions but I can't bring them to mind at the moment but I've always had my outlay reimbursed quickly. Main reason for basic but effective cover is to cover the possibility of recovery from a motorway or when some way away from home. £39.90p seems a reasonable price to pay given the hefty bill you'd get to be towed off the M3. I'm sure if I'd never paid for any breakdown cover I'd be better off...but I suppose that's the nature of insurance.
