It's the valve closest to the oil filter. The other similar looking valve is the cooler bypass.

For radios whose Serial Number begins with an "M", followed by a six digit number, you can use the following link to work out what your Keycode should be:

Hi. Have a Y reg clio recently purchased from a friend. No problems, in fact it's an amazing little motor - apart from on two occasions it has simply cut out completely when sat idle at a junction. Any ideas? It starts again straight away with no problems but as I have a small child, need to rectify the problem. I have been told by a garage that it needs a new battery at a cost of £50??? Railroad.

Remove the idle speed stepper motor and clean it. Then refit it and follow the procedure below. This should cure the problem.

Switch ignition on for 5 seconds.
Switch off for 5 seconds.
Switch on for 5 seconds.
Switch off for 5 seconds.
Start engine and run until it's completely warmed up. 85 degrees minimum.
If fitted switch on A/C for 10 seconds.
Switch A/C off for 10 seconds.
Switch A/C on for 10 seconds.
Switch A/C off 10 seconds.
Switch engine off.
Reset complete.

I am considering buying a Skoda Superb Estate 2.0L 140PS 6 Speed Manual.

The car comes with 18" alloy wheels only and I have read several complaints online that the tyres because they are low profile, wear out quickly, replacements cost < twice as much as 16" tyres or more to replace, do not give a decent ride, increase the road noise in the back, etc.... Read more

Oh, and i meant to say Humphrey, stick to your guns, if they won't play ball buy elswhere.

I know on another forum a chap, like you, wanted the higher spec but didn't want the elastic band tyres that went with it, the Ford dealer in question was only too happy to do the swap with a lower spec model, they then have an upgraded (yes people actually believe a crashing ride and tyres at twice the price is an upgrade) lower spec model to sell...everyone happy.

Friend of mine has the above car. He has just told me that he has filled it up completely with fuel but that this is not registering on the fuel gauge/dashboard computer. There are no warning lights on the dashboard. What could be causing this? Another friend has told him to disconnect the battery, wait and while, then connect it up again. What should he do? I said he may have to take it to a Vauxhall dealer for diagnostics.

Thanks in advance. Read more

I would agree but try disconnecting the battery first, I had a similar problem with a C5 and it cured it.

Hi.

We had a problem with our 2002 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4l on Saturday - the indicators on the driver's side were stuck on and stayed on even with the key removed. We got someone out to look at it who diagnosed an earth problem. After disconnecting and reconnecting all the lights on the drivers side, the problem was solved, but the mechanic had no idea what had caused the problem or how he'd fixed it.

However, ever since this was corrected, the central locking has stopped working properly. The fob doesn't work for either the locks or alarm, but even when you use the key in the driver's door, it will only lock that door, not the other 3. If you manually lock all 4 doors, the key in driver's door will unlock them all, but they won't lock again. We've checked the fuse and it seems fine, we even switched the fuse out but no improvement. ... Read more

Hi, thanks for your reply, have only just got around to trying this. Unfortunately, disconnecting the battery hasn't made a difference - it was disconnected for some time while we waited for the mechanic to show up.

If there was a problem with the spec of the battery, would there be other symptoms? We've not had any issues apart from the lights and the central locking and the lights have been OK since the mech disconnected them all.

Hi guys, I have a problem with the clock/external temp display not working intermitently. I've checked that there is a live feed to the unit and have concluded that there must be an earthing problem somewhere. Does anyone out there know where the earth to the unit is located? Thanks in advance of some much needed help. Read more

Wrong. I had a 2000 306 LX with non functioning bulbs on the heaters and clock and this guide was perfect. The blown bulbs were attached in the holders and couldn't be removed.

I'm not sure what you're referring to.
